Jimmie Johnson drives the car, but Chad Knaus is as big a factor in race wins as the driver. Knaus sets the car up so that Johnson can dive it, then makes the pit road decisions and adjustments to the car during the race. Adjustments during the race are what makes the car fast and stable on the racetrack. So Chad Knaus deserves just as much credit as Jimmie Johnson. I've been a Jimmie Johnson fan since 2003, and are looking forward to 4 championships in a row.

Since the chase began in 2004 Roush has 1 championship and Hendrick 4. Carl Edwards, Biffle and Matt will have excellent chances to win it all next year. The restrictor plate plays a vital role. A few thousandths of an inch on the restrictor plate and you have a huge competitive advantage. Same with the car body templates. Jimmie Johnson drives the car, but Chad Knaus is as big a factor in race wins as the driver. Knaus sets the car up so that Johnson can dive it, then makes the pit road decisions and adjustments to the car during the race. Adjustments during the race are what makes the car fast and stable on the racetrack. So Chad Knaus deserves just as much credit as Jimmie Johnson. I've been a Jimmie Johnson fan since 2003, and are looking forward to 4 championships in a row.

At least Carl & Matt give Jimmie a little bit and i mean a little bit of a challenge. Carl made mistakes cry me a river,Jimmie has put everyone in their place for 3 years straight. Jeff & Jr will be stong in 2009, because they have the best technology its called Hendrick technology. Nobody from roush will win it all in 2009. All Carl,Matt,Biffle will do is lose again.

The only reason Jimmie won was because Carl had the ignition problem and the chase format plain and simple.Jimmie's the only thing Hendrick's got going for him right now.Jeff & Jr had "Hendrick technology" in 08 and didn't do shit how's 09 gonna be any better?.Id take Marin over Jr to win races any day!

Well when one of these unknown in the future drivers comes along,they will just be another lap car added to the other long list of in the here and now catagory. I wouldnt put too many eggs in your future drivers basket, because JIMMIE & CHAD are in the going to dominate for a long time ,untouchable catagory. By the way Jimmie Johnson & Jeff Gordon have lifetime contracts with Hendrick Motorsports. So he wont be as you say changing his seat one day . That is for your future drivers if they exist

I think all the Hendrick drivers [ except Mark im going to retire every year Martin] are the best drivers in nascar period. If and its a big if, Johnson doesnt win the championship in 2009. The only other drivers with a chance to win it all would be Jeff Gordon or Dale Earnhardt Jr. Everyone else is just another car to lap on the track. And to everone who says Hendrick cheats, get off the high horse, because DEI,GIBBS,ROUSH,and CHILDRESS all have been caught cheating. Hendrick dominance lives on

Since the chase began in 2004 Roush has 1 championship and Hendrick 4. Carl Edwards, Biffle and Matt will have excellent chances to win it all next year. The only Hendrick driver that has a chance is JJ, the rest including Gordon really stunk this year. Gordon had "0" wins while jr. had one! Mark Martin will have a better chance winning it all compared to the 24,88. Look for Edwards to win it all as he should have this year. A few mistakes hurt him but he will learn from them. Lowes 48, Dont hate, Three CHAMPIONSHIPS in a row and plenty more to go. As long as the team of Chad and Jimmie stay together, Nobody can touch them. Just get ready to see them win number 4 in 2009.

Jimmie Johnson is an excellent driver with an excellent crew, but I've got to admit, his consistency is starting to bore me. As long as he and his crew stay together, nobody else is going to win a championship.

Funny, when Sr, was like that no one cared. He was more boring than JJ, at least JJ wins more. And if you think I'm a JJ fan guess again.........

Dale Sr didn't win his 7 championships in a row, he was good, but not unstopable.
He also knew how to beat the fenders to get the job done, and make people WANT to watch the whole race. JJ just kicks it into cruise control after 12 laps and half the audience falls asleep.
Mark Martin fan since 1990. he doesn't win alot, but he's a good man.

I never said Dale won 7 in a row did I? I will say he was a dirty driver, probably the worst ever. But it's like he said himself, "I ain't here to win friends, I'm here to win races!" I've also heard that he was one of the best people off the track, he'd do anything for anyone.
I like MM, but I can't help but wonder why he left Roush. And I believe he left with a bad taste in his mouth reguarding Jack. Something is sure fishy. And you never here him talk about Jack, like DEI or Hendrick,!!
