Hi everyone,

The 3D cab is an early preview of the full class 323 upgrade, and the new animated exterior objects and passenger area will be released along with Cross-City South v2.0 (the new version with all the animated vegetation, swinging cables, birds, butterfies, and so-on). I am sorry that I haven't been able to finish either the route or train yet, but I'll get there eventually. :)

I've just downloaded openbve and the above route but only have the 3d cab. How can I get hold of the saloon view as well? Is this the next version of the route coming out soon... I haven't notice waving trees on mine.

the good thing about open bve is that you can put different trains oin differents routes etc. - you can put a voyager in the underground.

What version is this? I currently have the CI323 Unrefurb_openbve and it looks kind of basic. Can't fully see the reverser stick or power stick,. Also, the train from outside looks like a picture instead of realistic.

@andrewpuay555 need to put your notches in N-N-EMG or N-EMG mode, then you should be able to turn the engines on

as good as this gets... i have something to say.... openbve is a disgrace to BVE.. the developer of BVE gave us a great sim... and when openbve came out...he said he wanted the name changed...and the stubborn lump called michelle refused.... its funny how u brits have developer guidelines..becuz i think is if you develop for openbve...u shouldnt be able to claim ur content is stolen... cuz openbve is a stolen version of BVE

It isnt a stolen version, it's called a remake. It is much better than Bve, it includes more features that make it a more realistic simulation. As developers learn how to build better quality routes with extremely high detail and animated objects less and less content will become avaliable for Bve. Openbve is much better and Michelle has done a brilliant job. Goodbye Bve, hello open

oh my word, this is just insane, every aspect of this is streets ahead of RW. sound quality is fantastic (propper rumble and rail joints etc) the simulation looks so much more interactive, and graphics has improved immensely. does anyone know when this is due to be released?

I PAID for RailWorks - OpenBVE is LEAPS ahead of that - I'd happily PAY for OpenBVE - looks FAR more realistic. I actually had my mouth open out of sheer amazment that this was on a computer for most of the video !

Thing is with RW, is hardly a simulator, its more of a game. With BVE and openBVE you actually have a better simulation of train driving as its just much more realistic. Yes RW has better graphics and is generally better as a game (IMO), you still don't have the level of realism as you have in BVE whilst driving. This is coming from someone has used sims from Trainz2004 to Rail Works.
