  • i recently got this guitar, they are stopping production, if you see one and dont have a seven string BUY IT!!! you WILL NOT regret it!! AMAZING guitar!!!

  • How does it sound on the clean tone?

  • Are there any better 7 string guitars about the same price?

  • @Ikirouta when you get to that price band they're all the same quality, the question you have to ask yourself is can you play that particular guitar....body shape, weight, balance, neck width and fretboard radius are all geared towards different people with different styles and hand sizes etc.

  • This is the sexiest guitar I´ve ever seen.... WANT IT

  • whats song

  • I've played this guitar, and it is awesome. I just wish it had a tone knob as well, cuz it's a little muddy, and that'd help brighten it up. But other than that, it's the best 7 string I've ever played.

  • @ZenotheMetalWarrior check out other video of this guitar... it is nothing close to muddy.. its super bright and the clarity is superb

  • They stopped right before the 'River dragon has come' solo. :(

  • It IS a damn beat of a guitar!

  • Ahmmm, and ahmmmm, and AHH, Ahmmmmmm

  • What's the name of the song he play at the end of the video?

    Great guitar anyway!

  • honestly i played it today. its not heavy at all!!!! i love the new black finish :) im getting one soon

  • i never knew jeff loomis had a lisssthp lmao sweet guitar tho, i like how its just raw playability he put into it no nfancy extra stuff just plain performance design

  • schecter > Gibson ;D

  • @earthman202 Schecter produces very good guitars! You're right with your statement in my opinion. I think Gibson is overpriced...:)

  • @Melanie10901 sooo true haha. i just got a Schecter Damien 7 and i luv this thing. i played a Gibson Les Paul once n it played like shit for me

  • I swear! This dude plays like chuck norris would if he played guitar!

  • Really looking into getting this guitar, doing a DBZ venom through a peavey 6505 now, but ive always loved 7 strings and that 7th string opens up alot of opportunities, and its alot cheaper than all other signature models, except for the low end LTD kirk hammett ones :P

  • @joniiboy im playing a venom too through a vypyr 75 combo though. i ust recently got a damien elite 7 and i gotta say i deffinatley play the schecter more. I love my DBZ but the seven string is just fun and amazing to play. Ive played the Loomis signature and liked it alot but didnt get it because i didnt want to deal with the floyd. I deffinatley recommend getting it if you are a fan of the trem though

  • loomis is humble as teletubbie

  • how much is that guitar?

  • @marquis242006 999 USD last i checked on music stores like gearhounds and music123

  • I ran into Loomis last week at a local department store. Nicest guy... talked for a minute. Was just amazing to chat with someone who such amazing guitar skills!

  • lol jeff lied there is a new black color so you dont have to get this guitar red ;)

    look on ebay

  • @Astralsreams This video was posted about 3 years ago when it was only red, last year it was released in black

  • @Seraphim777961 haha i know man it was just a small goof

  • Captions at :51

    Lol wtf? Israel

  • Got this guitar 2 days ago! didn't had a time to try it realy. But from few hours of playing i can say that its awesome!

  • A# standard?

  • cuts off right before the river dragon solo. fuck.

  • currently my new favorite guitar and guitarist

  • quite possibly my favorite shredder

  • jeff is a guitar god

  • I just saw this guitar used for $600. I tried it out and liked it a lot. I own a Brian Moore C-90 7 String so I'm use to the wide fret board, etc... but the neck on this thing was a tad thick but nothing you can't get use to. I plugged it into a ENGL Savage and it was H E A V Y! People in the shop all gathered around while I was jamming on it. The sales guy haggled w/me on price and got it down to $530. I left the store to think it over. Came back the next day and it was sold. Damn!

  • that pintch harmonic in the shred like killed me xD

  • I think i will buy this guitar. I look for good sustain and a a seven-string to make my sweeps more intresting =) My friends thinks its ugly, but i dont care

  • He is definitly one of my favorite guitarists!

  • No tone knob? Damn, I Ususally turn thatthing off....

  • @ChewyCervantes then your guitar must sound really bad. cause most people just have it full on. like i leave it full on. you turn it off it sounds like shit

  • @alecxg It sounds terrible with the tone, you sound more pro with the tone off, you must not play guitar do you?

  • @ChewyCervantes you really are stupid hah who in there right mind turns off there tone knob it will sound like shit. if you do that you probably should take your guitar and throw it in the trash. and you sound more like a retard with the tone off. any pro would tell you that it needs to be on. it gives you no definition on anything if its off. and fuck you i do play guitar. thats the reason i can tell you that your so stupid and know nothing about music or guitar.

  • @1alecxg Dude, I play rhythm and not lead, that's why I said that... I feel kind of stupid for saying that. =.=

  • @ChewyCervantes thats alright. but still you shouldnt have it off. i mean its not my guitar i just put new pickups in it and its a 700 hundred dollar guitar. i mean i was alright with it being something stupid to say but when you said i dont play guitar. that pissed me off haha my dad owns a recording studio so i know how stuff should sound. rythym or lead you need the tone knob on. try it next time you play with your band or whoever and see wat they say.

  • @1alecxg I don't have a band. Another point goes to 1alecxg. Haha. Well I DO mhave a band, but we barely got together.

  • @ChewyCervantes haha youll get one sooner or later or get together more some time. my only advice would have to be. turn the tone knob on haha

  • @1alecxg We're getting together on Wednesday. ;D

  • @ChewyCervantes nice!! thats a day after my 7 string gets here!! and were getting together this tuesday to. well every tuesday. but try the tone knob man!! see if it sounds better and ask them what they think about it to lol

  • @1alecxg Yeah I did, for me, it's only good for lead, but I guess that's my equipment. Haha, we're all like friends now. xD

  • @ChewyCervantes haha nice. i think it always needs to be on but its preference i guess lol

  • @1alecxg Yeah. I keep my EQ set with the bass volume all the way up and the others are off. It gives it a cool deathcore sound.

  • @ChewyCervantes nice. its just not the sound for me i guess. but i still got that heavy metal tone haha i have the boss OD-20 dont remember what setting but the distortion is full on and my amps settings are 6 on bass, 4.5 on mids, and 6 on the treble.

  • @1alecxg Let's just watch this video. xD

  • @ChewyCervantes haha alright

  • why doesn't this guitar come with a tone knob?

  • @stoob1969 probably cause he is happy with how the emgs sound as is with no added change with the knob

  • *Tunes guitar down to Eb*

  • i have his pick

  • jeff loomis looks like a combination of jim gaffigan and seaweed

  • My guitar teacher saw him in the audience at a show in Seattle, he said he would've said something to him but he was talking to a few ladies and didn't want to interrupt.

  • seems like a pretty rad dude

  • He is a metal legend and such a humble person. None of this fake alter-ego hardcore bullshit, just someone who is very skilled in playing and composing.

  • i got one of those. the bridge sucked. so i routed a new hole and put an ibanez origional edge low-pro in it. haha its a schecter guitar but the trem just says ibanez on it in really small letters haha

  • @deathcore1239

you don't have the right to say anything on a jeff loomis guitar sucks if you like deathcore.

  • @Fluffypopcicle FUCK YEAH on that dude !!!

  • I just bought Jeff's guitar used for a bargain price not to long ago and it is the best guitar I ever had!

  • It's the Loominator.

  • @alcoholocaust lmao if and when i meet him i gotta do my arnold impression and be like "Its deh Loominator!"

  • that's a really nice guitar

  • i hear some river dragon at the end

  • god he hit's those pinch harmonics so well

  • Jeff is an awesome guy, keeps everything simple on his guitar and doesn't go for insane dropped tunings for heaviness, just demonstrates pure skill and awesome chops

  • Jeff Loomis seems like a nice n simple dude ...great!

  • Watching Jeff shred makes me feel better about my uncontrollable pinky anchoring. XD

  • watch andy james, he will also make you feel better

  • Does this guitar have a floating tremolo? beautiful finish

  • yeah

  • Of course, it has a Floyd Rose

  • they also make one with string thru body which i prefer cos i want a 7 string so i can mess around with the tuning :D awesome guitar either way though!!

  • Yup

  • the inlays on this guitar are sick

  • chitarra orrenda per chitarista orrendo!

  • what song is he playing at the end

  • @fenderhippy710 final product and the river dragon

  • the river dragon has come

  • interesting patterns at the end!

  • I like that tapping riff at the end.

  • I want river dragon :(

  • He seems like a cool guy. He definately has a cool guitar!

  • @timberwolf98 I met him, and had a couple of beers with him and the guys from schecter. all down to the earth guys! :)

  • @timberwolf98 I met him when he had a guitar clinic in my town this year and he really is a cool and funny guy. I really like him for his attitude toward his fans

  • cool. but where is this guitar made? is it made in usa or what?

  • korea

  • usa, most schecter signature guitars are

  • USA i think i had to order mine it took like 5 weeks took me into the uk except i have a diamond series c-1 in bch definatley a good purchase

  • id love a v version of this

  • Is the guitar bolt-on or set neck?

  • neck-thru

  • Set....but Korean made. Doubt his Korean made

  • along with all schecter artists his is made in ther usa custom shop

  • Is his sig guitar availible without the Floyd?

  • schecter is expected to make a string thru version by namm

  • Apparently there was a string thru version that was only made during 2008, but for some reason they stopped making it. Are you sure they are planning to bring it back?

  • im pretty sure you can still find the 2008 models on some sites, but im not 100% sure if there bringing it back

    personally id prefer the floyd

  • I asked Jeff and the Schecter dudes when he was here in Sweden about that and apparently, they've had a lot of requests for it, so they're bringing it back!

  • Fan va schyst, då vet jag vad min nästa gitarr blir... \m/ \m/

  • @DeanMKH definitivt, plus en fetare stärk

  • they plan on bringing them back this year... :D

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, check:

    watch?v=mq6c6KyV6HI

  • Jeff is so awesome.

  • 1:46 O_o wow just had an eargasm..

  • Haha, I agree it sounds good, but it's funny how you were the most impressed by the easiest part of what Jeff is playing.

  • $999

  • Seems like a nice laid back guy.

  • i agree Loomis is as humble as they come

  • Yep, thats one reason I am a fan of his for sure.

  • umm...are schecters good?

  • i have this guitar and i absolutley love it,, if you want a 7 string i totally recomend it!

  • yup... i know jeffs guitar cant be bad :D

but i want to buy a new (6 string) guitar... can you compare schecter hellraiser to a jackson soloist for an example?

    thanks

  • i would def go with the jackson, i have a few of em, and i love them all, easy to play on, great sound, nice and light so it doesnt kill your shoulder. The schecter bodies are always much more heavier but provide great sustain and depth. It all really depends on what type of tone you like. I can never make up my mind so i have a bunch of guitars for diff styles of metal, and fiff styles in general. Always keep your choices open. i hope that helps.

  • yup...that helped a lot...thanks

  • I'm only guessing that the tone is wired full?

  • Hellz yeah!!!! what a badass!

...and he seems like a cool dude too!

  • is this guitar better with or without the floyd?

  • without

  • Matter of preference douche!! When You Have Your Own Signature Guitar, Or Dildo For That Matter, You Can Comment On That.

  • it's all preferance but if you want more balanced hand positions you want the floyd because the bridge set lower inn the body

  • with...it will never come out of tune. and you can do all the cool whammy tricks. that are needed to play his crazy music lol

  • With. And they don't make it without anymore.

  • I really like this guitar other than that there's no tone nob and only one volume nob.

  • its his signature so its not really a big of a surprise

  • Man, I really would like one of those guitars....too bad they don't make his sig left-handed :(

  • o wow tht sux

u shud get one and string it backwards

  • Pull a Jimi Hendrix. Flip the strings

  • at the beginning loomis is like i dont know what the fuck you just said but ill go ahead and explain my guitar LMFAO

  • dunlop 2200's?

wouldnt the largest frets be xj, which according to the schecter website is not on the loomis sig?

  • @ipitythefool23 he said probably, which means he wasn't sure

  • wow has he lost wheight he looks good now!

  • 1:30 is fucking earsex

  • lol "earsex"???

But yeah, my ears had one or two orgasms ^^

  • Also i just prefer tune-o-matic bridges to begin with.

  • the loomis sig and the rusty sig are two of the coolest 7s ive ever seen aside from boutique custom shop output

my friend is buying the rusty sig, im getting the loomis

  • what song is that solo from? its hella badass

  • Final Product.

  • can you get it w/o floyd rose?

  • yep

  • He makes a frog face when he plays, gotta love him.

  • Kind of looks like Chris Broderick at around 1:38

  • tscheff luhmis

  • why the fuck did it cut out before river dragon

  • i want to get the fixed bridge version of that guitar

  • why fixed bridge?

I would want the version with the floyd rose for sure, it's not even that hard to maintain.

  • 1st. better tuning stability

    2nd. better tone

3rd. Floyd rose bridges get int the way of my picking technique, you see mine is alot like rusty cooley's picking technique.

  • well I have a floyd rose and it stays in tune PERFECTLY, great tone (even on clean settings), and doesn't get in the way of my picking...plus a floyd is just fucking awesome and bad ass.

But to each his own opinion =]

  • keep the floyd and buy an aftermarket low pro trem rustys signature has a 7 floyd

  • 1st. better tuning stability. - stability? i figured you would've meant more tuning options, trems keep guitars perfectly in tune. but if you want to tune differently with a trem get a tremol-no, i use them in my guitars and im 100% satisfied

2nd better tone. - if you dont like the tone of your tremolo, which prolly really isnt the case, change the thin block in the cavity to a brass one

3rd- all of rustys guitars have trems, low profile or not, ive never played a floyd that got in the way

  • yes stability, when i play guitar my hand is at more of a diagonal approach to the bridge instead of being straight down, so the micro-tuners & wale-tail would get in the way of my picking technique, also it would push them down raising the pitch. And finally i just do not like Floating trems, the only guitar i have played with a trem that i would not block off would be the John Petrucci Ball Family Reserve with the Koa Top.

    THAT IS ALL!!!

  • the tremolo brought the dynamics of the electric guitar to the a new level. yea, u can touch, tap, and pick harmonics, but you can't make them sing like you can with a tremolo. you slide chords, notes, bend them, but swelling them with a tremolo sounds like nothing else

it's one of the greatest phrasing utensils every utilized

to each his own yea, but it sounds like your beef with trems are from personal technique flaws and not the overall concept of the tremolo itself

  • honestly i think too many guitarists hide behind the pentatonic scale to hide their poor sense of phrasing, creativity, and overall musical knowledge

but you can't hold a scale responsible for people's lack of dedication, just like how you can't hold a tremolo responsible for people's misuse of it

you can play poorly with a tremolo too you know, there is such a thing as not using your whammy's natural vibrato rhythmically in time, or wide enough for it to stay perfectly in key

  • I know I'm gonna get minuses for this comment but idc, you're right, a lot of guitarists hide behind tremolo. I don't have one, but you can tell when someone's never used one when you hear them attempt

  • but thats not jeffs case hes fucking awesome!!

  • Wasn't saying he wasn't awesome, I'm not one to judge, I actually don't listen to Nevermore very often. I like what I've heard though, don't get me wrong

  • i dont but u should listen more to nevermore jaja

  • lol I probably should, I might like them lol

  • u should listen also to jeffs solo album zero order phase one of the best instrumental records ive ever heard

  • All I know is I found this video cuz I thought about getting this guitar, but I think I found the one I want lol

  • @Mydnytefantasy89 like alexi laiho, finally someone levelheaded on a youtube guitar video!

  • Yeah i want fixed too, cause im changing tuning like 2-3 times when im playing, so floyd is bad for me, and im a looser and i cant tune floyd on my bc rich :D

  • I think you should keep your Floyd rose guitar, Floyd Rose comes with micro tuners, these are like headstock tuners

  • is it me or does he look like a young james heitfield

  • with a touch more facial fungus mabe

  • i was thinking that...

  • what was the song at 1:11?

  • it's "final product", off nevermore's latest album "this godless endeavor".

  • I just downloaded it. It's epic.

  • go and fuckin' buy it

  • His guitar tech should be hung. His 3rd string was out of tune. That's why the first thing sounded like shit.

  • no wonder it sounded weird. The tapping from final product is EPIC!

  • hey does anyone know what tuning jeff is playing at his solo album?
