  • "a paintball gun is what I want, we need a paintball gun" lol

  • What the hell did that guy want a paintball gun for?

  • @TheRyanAkers2

    To mark the bear.

  • Great video...Just curious...DO you live inside the city limits? If that happened to me I think I would have re-inforced the fear factor of the car alarm by following it up with shotgun blasts (toward but not at the bear). A bear fearful of humans is a safe bear that will live a lot longer. Just my opinion. Hope he stays away. Nothing worse than a human and bear mutually surprising each other at close range. Good luck. Nice boat too.

  • @foxriverfred Strangely enough, we didn't see a single bear at our house last summer... and thanks! That boat has landed us many a salmon in seward :D

  • Ay Boo-Boo, we're gonna need another Pic-a-Nic basket!

  • He just wants a pic-a-nic!

  • so, you allowed the bear to mess up your car and all this, without sending some rounds in his direction? geezus!

  • because humans are breeding like the plague they are reaching further into the wilderness driving out wild animals bringing them closer to the extinction list

  • Guess he didn`t know how to hot wire the car.

  • Oh my god ! There's a bear, GET IN THE CAR ! Wait... no.

  • Yogi's taking things too far.

  • had a coyote get into my car last summer.. luckily i live in a 7 acre lot outside of city limits.. and that's when it became hunting time.

  • @canthony1019 its not hunting time its quite being lazy and roll up your windows time. Things can be fixed or replaced Also coyotes cant hotwire let alone drive. but once a person or an animal is dead. That can never be fixed or replaced. in my eyes your lucky. You get to see these animals. I can only see them in video, and pictures. however i would be a lil worried if a coyote somehow got in the house.

  • haha ''watch him pop up and i have 2 hide in the car'' well the bear has already proved he can get in the car........not smart

  • ''oh that will scare him off'' lol or piss the bear off and ur truck gets destroyed

  • Horrible video going in out of zoom ! Zoom in and leave it , constant moving the zoom just cause, made me dizzy watching .

  • Leaving food in your vehicle in bear country is straight up retarded...

    15 years in Alaska? Amazing...

I would have guessed you were from L.A. by the facts presented on this video.

    Good luck.

  • @ 1:10 the bear was all like.... oh noez! i haz been spotted!

  • 1:11 SUPER BEAR PWNAGE

  • he just wanted a ride D=

  • Just use the remote and make the car alarm start! Than maybe you'll scare the crab out of the bear!

  • OfCourse He Broke into the Car! He's a Black Bear!

  • @FrigginJoJo hahah

  • @FrigginJoJo Why do you have to be so ignorant.

  • Y is it always the black things accused?

  • @greenlime14 not for racist reasons thats the thing.

  • Kudos to leaving the dogs in the house.

  • WOW!

  • DANG!

  • Hello, LCMTV 303 Access channel powered by MTA We would like to show your video on TV a new show called. Alaskans Caught on Video If you are interested in having your video on TV, please e-mail me. steve@lmtv303.com Kind Regards, Steven W. Scott Associate Producer/Sales LMTV Productions, LLC
  • My husband and I live in Alaska, and we've had bears in our yard, in the beds of our trucks, and even up on our deck. But, if we ever had one get into our truck like that, I would FREAK out!!! LOL! I DO love them though! They are such awesome creatures. Sometimes they almost seem human, when you see all of the things they do. We had one come up on our deck one time. My husband knocked on our kitchen window to get it's attention, and it stood straight up and looked in at us. Great job on video!

  • Lol. I'm glad you noticed the bear before you actually walked up there trying to get in your car :3

  • Thanks for sharing this, Joe. I love these animals and hope people will learn about them from reliable sources and not be so scared that they will be prompted to injure them.

  • Do not leave food and trash lying around

  • Satnav : "Go straight on then, bear left... BEAR LEFT!!!!"

  • Looks like your grandma in the backseat with her heels up tryin to make you another uncle .

  • Cool =D

  • good thing you have the video because insurance wouldn't believe it

  • Of course they believed it... guy came out that morning and give us money right then and there... I've heard of way weird things happening... this is Alaska not New York!

  • @joestickpie

If it's Alaska and not New York, why did you leave food in your car?

  • @joestickpie Alaska is AWSOME! :D bad i'm not living there.. :(

  • @joestickpie awsome! me just left juno after 30ys. They CALL ME ---- DO LITTLE

  • @joestickpie AWSOME! THEY CALL ME ----DOLITTLE IN JUNO !

  • black bears only attack when startled... i noticed that some particular Race of MAN wants these beautiful creatures put down.

  • i was watching 'man vs wild with Bear Grylls the other day as he made his way through alaska and he said that black bears attack and kill more people each year than grizzly bears. they are also exceptionally good trackers.

for some reason, though i would never say i thought back bears were benign, i didn't think think they were so...dangerous.

  • He wants to go for a coffee and donut, i mean hey the bear already called shotgun!

  • i hate your car you freakin gas sucker.

  • May you die of lepracy of the aids of the face 17 times in the head under a bus with a tank wearing sandals.

  • right on bro, Alaskans and Texans think they can have all the oil with their big rigs YEEHAW

  • Errhm there is a bear in our car lol. And he goes fishing lol.

  • This happened in the early summer. Later in the summer we had a big black bear (quite possibly this same one, with a little more fat on him) try and get into our garbage. So yes, we think he did.

  • Yep...that's not smart, leaving a car window open in bear country...and if you have been living there for 15 years....well, I think you're just lucky you're still alive...

  • Food in your car with an open window... lay out the welcome mat

  • There was a tiny bag of goldfish in our car. We've been living in Alaska for 15 years, its not like we don't know what the heck is going on.

"Laying out the welcome mat" would include putting your garbage out the night before. Thats something that is COMMONLY done left and right.

Leaving a bag of gold fish (goldfish? They're crackers! Its not like its a big stinky steak or smelly McDonalds trash!) and TWO windows open is quite low on the "lay out the welcome mat" list.

  • A bear's sense of smell is 7 times better than that of a blood hound. I take food related items of my car in bear country, down to chapstick, sunscreen, gum wrappers, etc. Everything goes in the bear locker at night or if the car is left unattended during the day. Once in a parking lot in Yosemite valley, a friend had a door peeled down on his Honda Accord and back seat ripped out. The bear smelled the cooler in the trunk, which was empty but had a lingering smell of food.

  • @joestickpie lmfao amen brother!! i love how people can comment on stuff like this and they have never even been close to this type of situation and say stupid shit to the ones who have. you handled yourself just fine and nothing got hurt but the truck alil. maybe you can call a ranger and have them bring out a trap to have him removed and you can video tape that lol it will piss off the shitty slickers and in the mean time save the bear and anyone he comes close to. stay safe out there in AK

  • @joestickpie Thank you for not harming the bear. Maybe he thought your s.u.v. was a bear taxi. lol.

  • @joestickpie Any food is enough. It didn't know it was just a bag of goldfish crackers. Even a spilled soda or single french fry will attract them. Chances are it is a bear that had found food in cars before so it checked yours out just in case. It got a small reward for it's efforts this time which will make it that much more likely to try try again. Closed windows may have kept it out, but who knows. Some are quite proficient at opening cars.

  • holy shit thats crazy haha how the hell did it jump through that window

  • your lucky you don't live in willow i had a grizz in my ford ranger while i was fishing... had to scare it off with popper rounds and rubber buckshot....

  • We spend half the summer in Willow, our cabin is on there. Lol

  • lol okay honestly. at least your safe haha, you were let off big time if it was drool. no real damage. big sucker though!

  • haha nice video!!! we always have bear in Eagle river!! we had one just laying in our driveway chilling out while we were gone one day and our neighbor took a pics of it for us!!! haha

  • This video was taken in Eagle River. Haha

  • IM so GOOD!! hahah

  • alaska......wat a BEAUTIFUL place to live....i heard it a always cloudy over there? is that true

  • Oh no!!! Its a beautiful sunny blue sky 80% of summer! Nice 60-80 degrees also! You sometimes get a week or so when its cloudy, but to say "always" is wayyyy off!

  • gosh, that was cool! I can't say I would like a bear in my car, but that must've been a coll experience! I had to laugh when he stuck his head out the window like a dog :)

  • cool vid, has the bear come back since then?

  • Not THAT bear, but a mom and her cub were prancing around the neighborhood last night. We usually keep a bear horn/spray in the yard.

  • You shoulda stuck yer marshall plexi up there against the window and belted out an E7#9 hendrix chord.. he woulda been outa there!!!

  • Haha, thats a good one ;)

  • lol id trip seen that

  • unlucky it can drive...else ur car n boat wud be gone mate, lol

  • ah...goldfish.

I love goldfishes cuz there so delicious.....got goldfishes!

  • Woah! That's amazing! I'm glad that no one was hurt!

  • y would u have goldfish with u?

  • umm... to eat maybe? lolz

  • you know, goldfish the crackers? not goldfish the fish.

  • wikid video! do you live in alaska or were you on vacataion?

  • We live there... or here I should say. lol.

  • 3:43 daaaang... lol

  • lol...

when I had to go clean up the goldfish inside... ugh it was disgusting (I'm the video poster's bro)

  • This has got to be the coolest video I've seen in a long time.

Did insurance cover your damages eventually?

  • Yep. We money for the damages.

  • fish and game wont help you with this. if there's a wild animal on your property, it's yours to deal with. unless it harms you physically, then the cops will kill it.

  • are u serious? what if the bear has babies would they still kill it?

  • lol...

    Yes they would.

  • Ironically, the Alaska Dept. of Fish & Game is marking human-habituated bears with fluorescent dye.

  • Hey, If you lived in Alaska, you would know that bears are a real problem up here! My neighbor left his garage open for an hour when he came home from work (in a VERY suburban area) when he came back out, a bear had OPENED his freezer, and started its salmon! No matter where you put your food, bears will always smell it. They are just as drawn to a bag of goldfish as a little bit of McDonalds trash in your car.

  • Thank you Kujoe89.

  • Dang, wow, dang, wow

  • We've been living in Alaska for 13 years. We got back VERY late the previous night and did accadently leave the gold fish in the car. But come on! IT GOT IN THOUGH THE WINDOW!!! We are very strict about not leaving trash out at night, and always cleaning up after camping, this was just a freak accdent!

Oh, and we did get a check for the car damages, the seats were pretty torn up inside.

  • dangggggggggg

  • Comprehensive:

Covers your vehicle, and sometimes other vehicles you may be driving for losses resulting from incidents other than collision. For example, comprehensive insurance covers damage to your car if it is stolen; or damaged by flood, fire, or animals.

    There you go sstrong42

  • very nice boat...lol

  • Dang.

  • "Dang..." then "WOW!..." lmfao

  • Got bear insurance?

  • I'm from Fairbanks, born and raised! :) Now, I live in Phoenix, desert hell. :(

  • I hated Arizona when I lived there, Mesa... bleh

  • How ironic, me, too. ha Mesa got ghettooooo

  • The day I moved in, some guy got shot my police in front of my apartment.

  • My husband's truck got stolen, too. So we got the hell outta there.

  • We also got broken into. A guy upstairs was in a conflict with someone else, and his nemesis thought he lived in our apartment. Dumbass. He stole my grandmother's wedding ring.

  • Thats... so weird...

  • Did the bear poop all over the back seat?

  • haha, no.

  • You have to watch out, food in the car and an open window is an invitation to wildlife.

Good thinking using the alarm though, this could have been much worse.

And you have an awesome video to show off!

  • hmm rivers must be low on fish that he had to resort to gold fish

  • lol lol lol lol lol

  • dude thats crazy. We don't have bears in Hawaii.
