@Ki113rBuD The land owner sells (generally to the mill) the logs to the mill (delivered) for an agreed upon price, say $800 per thousand. Most of the time the seller is responsible for all the associated cost required in getting the raw logs to the scaling yard. Then the bureau scaler gets the pencil out......
