  • ok now tell me how you shaped your body like that im not going to rely on a miracle pill i do running kick boxing and shadow boxing...what am i missing to lose the body fat on my neck my chest my abdoment my legs and my upper arms my calves my forearms are nothing but muscle(i wish i stayed fit in school but noooooo i had to a lazy ass

  • @wyvren1990 obviously you only do those activities once a month

  • @riot5546 wow thank you captain insensitive you are half right i work out at least 3 times a week for 2 hours strait but going through high school i dint give a fuck about excessive and now im paying the price by being heavy i used to weigh 300 ibs but now im down to 220 so for being a fat waste of space im doing a shit ton better...thank you and good bye riot5546

  • @wyvren1990 Sometimes it's better to just ignore people like that.

To answer your question, the answer is different for everybody. However, in most cases, changing up the workout or trying something new is enough to break the muscle memory "pattern" and kickstart fat burning. Of course, that means every few weeks you have to change the pattern, but it works amazingly well.

  • okay guys hes a beast. i see dudes that are super muscular barely do it with the ease he is. and he looks like the average guy,

  • @goo5976 muscle weighs more than fat

  • it goes easier when you move yours legs so dont do that next time

  • fag boy

  • this is great!!!! you just gave me a tip for this...thanx man!! 5/5

  • i need to get strong to do that mannn

  • I like the beard.

  • different story on rings homey. sure u can get em though

  • lol its funny how you post these up i was thinking something tottaly different

  • @DanielSel , its not how big you are , its what you have in your arms...

  • i love doing those at the park

  • Is it Really Necessary to have the GAY Profiles at the beginning....

  • yo that was real good man, Im working on getting up to being able to do them. how many pull ups should i be able to do before i can start them?

  • Impresive my ass. Take a good look in the mirror, you're not even close to getting into ninja warrior.

  • I love the music for this video!

Great job man. Keep up the good work. Check out my vids. Most recent attempt is 4 reps. I made a video with some cool background music.

  • That's about as powerful as an old mans erection

  • Goddamn! That's pretty powerful!

  • @Zatarainism haha beat it bitch...

  • @DanielSel Sometimes you don't have to look strong to be strong. If you just life the same weight over and over, you get really strong, even if it's a light weight. They just get more ripped, instead of big.

  • if you dont have them down yet as you say... then why dont you try and do 1 right before u try and go an show off 10 crappy ones in different angles lol. and you didnt compete in the copetition in japan... you didnt qualify for it.

  • im sorry to tell you but these are not muscle ups, these are back uprises.

  • really?? that's tripped me out because everybody i've met so far thinks that they're muscle-ups... what are muscle ups then?

  • i think you're a little obsessed with yourself

  • Good video. whats the name of the song please?

  • submersed - hollow :-)

  • Unfortunateley I have to disappoint you. I don't doubt that you are strong and fit, I can see that. But Ninja training can not be done alone. You need a master to teach you. A ninja trains speed, discipline and technique. He trains his senses to always be on guard. sleeping. This kind of training is extremely hard and you need YEARS to learn it. Being able to lift your own weight while hanging on a rod is not a Ninja technique. It's basic skill. A usual workout. Nothing more.

  • I think he's referring to the "Ninja Warrior" competition...if you have the G4 channel you should watch it sometime...it's similar to American Gladiator in a sense... physical challenges and what-not. I don't think he was referring to ACTUAL ninjas.

  • Aaah...okay, thanks for the hint^^ Well I don't know if I have G4 channel because I'm from Germany...but maybe I find some videos about it on youtube :D

    @NixSeraph: Sorry dude, I thought you were talking about real ninjas ^^;

  • lmao who the fuck are you?

  • yeah well when you first start you use alot of momentum. Would like to see the progression. Barstarzzz

  • excessive swinging. BAD

  • hey all check out my video i do 21 muscle up and i 15 years old

  • whats the name of that song?

  • your Profile says you're 24...

  • this intro is insanely gay lol

  • i read that as intensely gay... still worked

  • very bad form

  • white monky:D

  • ya wat he said

  • Reading previous posts people obviously dont know what Ninja Warrior is. He's training for a Japan competition show Called Ninja Warrior look it up if u didnt now know u now.

  • Exactly what he said =s. its a show that is a contest on peoples physical endurance strength and style and balence=s

  • u look othin like a ninja u look sooo american its not even funny

  • thats sik!

  • Comment removed

  • Nice!!

  • a white ninja warrior huh?

  • thats just cheating man :P your using the momentum from the swing to get up... noooooot goood :P

  • its called a kippling pull up and its not cheating its the technique used for muscle ups.......

  • eh no not really castrator (nice name btw) proper muscle ups require dead hang. In fact most exercises like pull-ups do. Kips and swings are to assist those who are unable to do proper ones and since dead hang muscle ups are sick as hell, many people have to kip. Mad props to those who can do it w/o the kiping

  • he wasnt kipping he was swinging back and forth

  • lets see you do it

  • No cheating, just the easier form. If you have no strength, you have no other way to train em...

  • ...Viva parkour!!

  • nice use it for parkour ;)

  • whats that move at 1.43?

  • I just started doing them. I can do about 5 or so..not in a row. lol

But I trained pretty hard just to get to that point.

A good tip someone mentioned is to train with a weighted vest doing normal pull ups. It helps give your body the extra boost for the muscle up.

I think he's doing great though, its almost a dead hang muscle up. Not easy. I still use swing or a one shoulder at a time deal.

  • The best way to do pull ups of all sorts, is 6 sets 3 times a week of just hanging on the bars for as long as you can, within 4 weeks you will notice a huge differents (take it from the monkeys) it really works.

  • Careful with the cripple up(One arm at a time) Asymmetric movements like that can seriously damage your shoulders. A man I know very badly injured his shoulder doing them this way.

They're a great stepping stone on the way to a muscle up, just don't get stuck on them!:)

  • yup! it looks like he uses a lot of balance to get the muscle up! ..he needs to get stronger so he don't get the shoulders like an 80yold man! lol

  • Ill see you there if you make it

  • nice!

  • your strong nice!

  • how do u apply for these type competition? is there any in the states?

  • The competition only takes place in Japan. You can apply through the G4 TV Network.

  • looking forward to seeing you compete in Sasuke. =]

  • i can do 6 :D but my muscle up's better :P

  • being able to lift urself up so fun, even though no one in my grade thinks so >.>

  • I can do 10

  • Hey i've been watching your videos for a while and i've noticed you havent really been working with your legs too much. You have amazing upper body strength but you havent really focused on your legs a lot.

As i'm sure you've noticed, a lot of the American Ninja Warrior competitors do parkour and free running, which requires great lower body strength, something which you havent been working on too much. I actually think this can potentially be your downfall.

You should work on legs a bit more

  • just curious, how many pull ups could you do before you started muscle ups?

and did you only do strict pull ups, or did you do kipping pull ups as well?

  • Before I started doing muscle ups I could do just over 40 pull-ups in a row. But, I think that's just because I didn't find out what muscle ups were until a couple months ago. I imagine anyone with the strength to do 15 to 20 pull-ups in a row could do a few muscles ups, as well.

  • thanks, i was curious because you made it look really easy...

i was at about 20 kipping pull ups before i hit my first bar muscle up, but it was miserably hard, and i still struggle with it.

so now in workouts, have you started to phase out pull ups by replacing them with muscle ups, or would you say you are still doing close to the same number of pull ups?

  • I don't think I'll ever replace pull-ups with muscle ups entirely. I have a pull-up bar in my house at the bottom of the stairs, and every time I either go up or down the stairs I do 15 pull-ups--which, at the end of the day, averages around 200 to 250 pull-ups daily. Pull-ups are a quick and effective way to build muscle in your arms and back. I love them.

  • lol, how funny, i started doing the same thing with a pull up bar over the doorway to my bathroom! ever heard of the GTG technique? (Greasing the Groove)

  • what about when its back/biceps day, surely youre not going to be doing any pullups the day before, or even the day od your workout, so that you can hit your weighted pullups to their full potential....

  • People that do muscle ups and a lot of pull ups don't normally follow a bodybuilding weight lifting routine of doing a back/biceps day. I long ago stopped doing that type of strength training. No more bodybuilding type lifting for me.

  • yes, well this guy does, if you take some itme to read the video description he highlights his lifting program, and it clearly shows, back/biceps and a bodybuilding style program....

  • I don't see anything remotely like that in the description. He's used tags with those words so people searching for that stuff will find his video.

  • sorry, i was mistaken, bu its not iin his video description, oyu msut visit his channel, and there oyu can see his lifting program, which includes back/bi's as per my previous comment...

  • holy crap that looks hard im not even gonna try. i will concede defeat lol

  • you're great!

  • so how do you do muscle ups i've been trying to do them but there hard!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but then again i'm only up to about 10pull ups in a row ;\ then im beat used to be only 1!

  • The best way to do them is to get a good swing of the legs. Find a good forward-grip on the bar (about shoulder-length apart), swing your legs out in front, then, as your legs are coming back, quickly tuck your legs up and pull up on the bar. If you do it correctly, the momentum of your legs should carry you through to the dip-position, which is where you simply make use of the tricep-muscles and push yourself up. Good luck. I hope this helped.

  • my dad can light himself all the way so hes horizontal holding the bars

  • hay man love your vid ;) how many days is week and hours a day do you exercise?

  • I train Monday through Saturday for about 2 hours a day.

  • nice good luck with competition ;D

  • Hey Jake I just watched all of your videos you are simply amazing! Your strength is incredible and I`m just wondering- how long have you been training to reach your current shape? And one more thing- do you train everyday? Thanks for answer and keep on training coz you motivate many more people just like me ;)

  • I'm currently 24 years old. While I've been pretty physically fit most of my life, I didn't get serious about health and fitness until my Senior year of High School, when I was 18. So, I've been training regularly for about six years. Take care.

  • Another great video Jake! Muscle ups are definitely a beast, but it looks like you're rockin them just fine. Keep on going!

  • Jake, man you have grown a beard again!

but Its totally awesome what you can do.

Cant wait for your next video, everyone else watch his other crazy training vids.

  • Excellent you is best :)

    5 stars.......

  • haha nice dismount! you got my vote, nix, for sure. Just a note though: You're rocking the upper body strength and climbing skill of Spider-Man, but to be Ninja, what about training your speed and balance as well?

    Keep up the good work!

  • Excellent comment. I will be making some videos that focus on those two aspects of training within the next month or so, as well as making an all-out parkour / free-running video. So, stay tuned, keep watching, and keep enjoying. This party is just getting started. hahaha

  • i bet it is.. good stuff

    nix keep it goin man

  • nice, thats harder than it looks lol :P
