I have a wierd crack-theory.

I think that, due to shared voice actors, similar appearances, and semi-similar personalities, Riku is Master Xehanort's grandson. I'd say son, but Master Xehanort is wayyyyy too old to be Riku's father.

But we never find out, who is the person at the beginning. He is seen in Terra' story when he meets Riku for the first time, but that doesn't make sense since Riku doesn't look like that.

So, if you watch the beginning of the game, all the way through, then you'll see that the part before the sun goes down is a flashback of MX when he was young. Then, it goes to present day, with him carrying Ventus, ready to abandon him there.

So, my advice? Go search for the BBS intro to Ven's story. It should shed some light on this video, as this isn't the whole thing...

Okay, I just watched the entire beginning of BBS on someone else's channel and I've come up with a new theory. At the start of this video, it IS Master Xehanort, the one from BBS, when he was younger. He's from Destiny Islands, left long ago, (like LeonXBlade10 said), and ended up there, again, with Ventus, wrapped up in a white cloak, under his arm. There's the scene where MX is going to leave Ven there, but then Ven gets his Keyblade...

@papagalo15 this is birth by sleep so logic should tell you that its ven. sora in this is like 5 or something and roxas hadn't been created yet. seriously? you thought roxas? well i won't say anything but the whole lookinag like thing should become clear by the end of the game if you keep watching these videos

The thing here is that this obviously takes place in a different time than BBS or any other game. For all we know, it could take place years or even decades before BBS or after KHII. It could be Riku, a few years after KHII. Then again, it could be Xehanort, (the ORIGINAL, anyway), before he was a Keyblade Master and before he went to the Land of Departures, (that IS what it's called, right?). I personally think that it's Riku, but I'll have to watch it again to make sure.

@ZackCopyNumber8 well teh guy stood on the beach is xehanort after the events of this game. but still within the same time period which means that riku and sora are still young. yes it is land of departure. and if you want to know how and why that is xehanort, kh13 uploaded the secret ending and the rest of the cutscenes already. in japanese and is starting to put the english ones on. unless you don't want to spoil yourself in which case you will have to take my word for it.

Personally, I would like the uploader to specify where this video came from and what the story is behind it, as they know it. Or at least tell us that they refuse to spoil it...

3.) What he says in this vid matches up with what he, Sora, and Kairi were planning in the first KH. And what he says at the end of KHII: "What a small world."

Although, the hair is throwing me off. He DOES look like a younger version of Xehanort. But when does he ever leave Radiant Gardens that we know of? I would think it would be between the end of BBS and the start of KH, but what about his research? And why would he say something like, "This world is too small?"

I think it's Riku. And, before everyone flames me, here's why I think that...

1.) Listen to his voice. It sounds like David Gallagher talking with a gruff voice.

2.) When the sun sets and it gets darker, notice that he's shown wearing a cloak-like thing that is half white, half black. Remember what Riku said at the end of Reverse/Rebirth? "I'll take the middle road... The road to the dawn..." Or something like that.

Really? I couldn't get it to go full-screen, so I couldn't get a very good look at it. I saw the bottom half of a person in a black cloak, (the feet were very visible), with a white thing on the left. I couldn't make it out very well, so I assumed that it was half of the cloak. I'll have to see if it will let me go full-screen now, so I can get a closer look...

Because Terra and Xemnas have the same hair due and riku dosent.
