@marplatense2 Shotguns that shoot lazers is 90s material if you recall a lot of cartoons from the 90s, (with the exception of Batman and Superman TAS for some reason) had that aspect.

@DemonicRemption. true but here's my argument, 1. none of those cartoons had a character catch the laser with their bare hands, 2. this isn't the 90's anymore, when the 4kids version of kai came out it was 2010, 3. in the original version the farmer shot a bullet... a normal bullet, 4kids censored something that doesn't need to be censored so that's why I think that this is a stupid edit.

@marplatense2 True. Very true. Especially since both Funimation and Ocean Group kept the bullet in the scene, my guess is because bullets by themselves are harmless. In all honesty I think we can both agree that 4kids should've done their research on how previous dubs of DBZ were done and how ppl reacted as opposed to assuming things.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this scene. There are so many thing wrong with this edited scene. Let's count the ways:

1. Why was a simple farmer carrying a rifle that fired lasers? And how for that matter?

2. A beam is not an solid object so how in the hell did Raditz catch it and hold it?

3. Why didn't you attempt to explain numbers 1 and 2?

4. If its good for Nicktoons, then why in the hell is it bad for 4kids? Same goes for Mr. Popo.

@plasmaguy92 Atleast Nicktoons did a decent enough job with it, it shows Frieza beginning to split apart and they keep in Trunks making the slashing motions. Pretty obvious Frieza's in little pieces, even if they aren't shown. That tends to happen alot on the Nicktoons version. You just know something fucked up happened, but it tends to happen off screen.
