  • Guitar sounds kick ass :)

  • This song is way deeper than rape. It's a metaphor of the US's continued campaigns of terror and destruction over the past decades in the third world.

  • @Hero7641 I wouldn't give any 90's grunge band that much credit. Its too hidden. Pink Floyd? Maybe but they asked you to read deeply into their songs. These guys just want to rock out. I don't remember them being as pretentious as Nirvana or Days of the New. You know, pretending to say more than they really are, as if it was a big mystery what they were trying to convey.

  • @Esteism I believe the true lyrics are "worn that dress". Is that what you are referring to?

  • FUCKING SWEET SONG, but warm address? someone please explain

  • You know what? THIS IS THE MOST BORING ORGY EVER!

  • this song is the bomb

  • I likes this alot better when Danzig did it.

  • @ROTTINGDEAD what the fuck?

    serious?I can´t believe a shit ike this!

  • @Wakeupdream What cant you believe?

That STP made an identical riff to Danzig?

I know,I found it hard to believe too.....

  • @ROTTINGDEAD STP was first

  • i spent like a month trying to find this song after hearing it on the radio... at first i had no idea it was by STP (same with Dead And Bloated). month well spent. STP rules!!!

  • Even though this song sounds like it's about rape, I still want to fuck to it.

  • STP gets me wet every time!!

  • @SamanthaHyde this song is about rape

  • sounds like Kiss war machine, the main riff does

  • The Pit

  • here i come i come i come i come i come i come i come i come...........

  • every band is rippin some one off, its impossible to be truly unique, least STP FUCKIN JAM unlike danzig who lets face it just sucks arse n belches it into what he calls music lol

  • No it is possible to make an original sound and every member of the seattle scene was capable of forging their own sound under the guidelines of grunge rock. Dont justify ripping off because STP did it. Core if you disregard the whole ripping off thing is a mediocre album in all honesty. This might have been the first grunge album to have elements of post grunge in it, that is unexcuseable.

  • @Jackmonster3231 This is exactly true, the early 90's were a beacon for creativity, one of the most creative bands of the time being R.E.M. most everybody had their own sound even the little house band dance "artists" had their own sound so there's no excuse for having to rip off other bands during that era

  • @thelonewayhome Are you retarded go listen to Tool or Opeth or Soundgarden, Rage, Audioslave, APC etc. Not every band rips shit off at all that is a fucking retarded argument for people who aren't creative enough to make original shit

  • @thelonewayhome I got nothing against the Stone Temple Pilots, but Danzig is a much better vocalist.

  • oh c'mon this rocks way harder than Snakes of Christ! Danzig sucks and his vocals suck more! no offense to Jim Morrison

  • None taken.

  • I am I am I am a man

  • I'm gonna learn ya my philosophy.

  • It really has a kind of "Black label soc." feeling.

  • no its an exact rip off of the danzig song "snakes of christ" go to the clip "Danzig gets riffed of by STP" and compare the two

  • Like I said, "Danzig ripped off Jim Morrison," So you can't point the finger at one band and scream off, "Rip off!" So be a good boy and stop trying to get attention. Don't even bother replying back because I'll just repeat the same thing to you and I don't have the time or the interest to deal with the likes of you.

  • thanks for taking the time to reply....

  • @Noizchild

Damn boy, you took first and second place for highest rated comment...

  • @Fyrzon I'm a girl, but thanks.

  • @Noizchild You mean someone in music WASN'T completely original? Man, its not like Led Zeppelin or Daft Punk or Rihanna or any band that has ever done a cover song ever did it without being original about it.

  • @steeveewuzzheer1992 I know. Tell the idiots that can accusing STP of plagrism.

  • @Kormanyfg no black label society has a stone temple pilots feeling

  • this believe it or not is one of the only stone temple pilots songs that i actually liked :0

  • hah

lol this song is on guitar hero

  • i wonder if mirapilates could ever write a song as good as stone temple pilots? fuck, or even creed? and i agree creed sucks. go sell 30 million records, then talk. until then, nobody gives a fuck.

  • having a deep voice doesn't mean to rip off someone else's deep voice. listen to the style of singing, it's totally different. wake the fuck up! it's been 15 fuckin' years ago and we're still arguing on this? STP have proven to be an extremely personal band, the De Leo's were unrivalled in sound research and arrangements in the scene, and Weiland... well, he's Weiland. P.S. Zakk admittedly ripped off this riff, so what's all the fuss about? "We are all thieves", as someone once said.

  • I've noticed something... all you ever have to say is the same shit over and over again, and for as much as you claim to hate STP, you spend an awful lot of time watching their videos and writing comments. Fake much?

  • hey thanks for taking all that valuable time to notice what I do. If you wanna smell weilands smelly dingleberrys after a show thats on you. im going to redouble my efforts and post more. you inspire me. what started out as a joke has developed into a sick obsession,,,im sorry the kids gotta know im going to post adnaseum...about the over rated mediocraty that is STP...keep following my posts and giving me feed back .....thanks

  • Was a legend at lunch time for suggesting this song on scotland's rock radio

    Won me a meal for 2 :D

  • dean deleo and robert deleo are the greatest musicians of the 90's and 00's

  • actually their unoriginal rip off artists they stole the riff to their breakthrough hit from the danzig song "snakes of christ"

  • Yea... too bad Danzig sucks and these guys did right what Danzig tried so hard at...

  • Sorry, but Danzig is more substance than these guys. these guys are a watered down alice in chains/ Pearl Jam rip off. Danzig started the Misfits in the 70's.... a band that didnt need trendy mall shopping clowns like you to create a legacy. Go listen to your Creed records and stop whining

  • I wasn't a fan of the misfits sounds at all but I loved the doom Metal sound of Danzig in the 90s.

As for this song, I dont care if its a rip off, it sounds great.

  • And Danzig ripped off Jim Morrison from the Doors. Music rips off other music. Get a life!

  • thats good you admit that it was ripped off. theres a distintiction between ripping something off and being "influenced" by something..... Similitaries are fine but straight out plagerizing is lame and people need to be called out on it.like i said go enjoy your creed records.

  • No, you missed my point. We can't cry out rips off anymore. Music is just a recyclement of itself. It just depends on how it's presented. So, quit talking about Danzing and just drop the pointless argument. BTW, I HATE Creed!

  • @mirapilates Fuck yourself :)

  • brilliant when all else fails put a lot of thought into and say things like" Fuck yourself" further demonstrating the morons that this band attracts....they say Creed is reforming ....you must be happy.

  • Quite happy actually.

  • Did I say it was okay? No. I said it happens. Even if copyrighted, it's going to be recycled anyway. Just get credit to where it is due. Music is art. Art is a recyclement of itself. Now, just drop this dumb agurement.

  • Scott Weiland doesnt sound like Eddie Vedder at all. Did you actually listen to some songs by both artists before coming up with a dumbass statement like that? Fuck off and die.

  • ahhh yes he does go back and read the cristicms of these guys when they came out.plenty of people where saying this. cr

  • Comment removed

  • @Problems123 Nah he does sound a tiny bit like him. Not too much, but you can hear a little resemblance. There's just no reason to be so pissed over the internet like you are.

  • yea sorry i was tired haha.

  • Ha its okay I understand. That happens to me all the time

  • @Noizchild fuck yea its called inspiration..and its always borrowed

  • @SteveIsTheMan1990 Exactly.

  • @Noizchild big deal doors suck

  • @flippers098 Well then, I pity you.

  • @Noizchild Name the Doors song whose chorus Danzig cribbed literally note-for-note. Broad stylistic influence is one thing, and yes, it is inevitable; plagiarism is another thing. It's avoidable besides making the 'artists' (in this case, STP) look like oblivious tools.

  • @YoutibYoutib The same licks get used all the time. If you want to give credit to someone who really deserves it, start arguing that jazz musicians pre-imagined all of modern music in their playing. It's technically true, Music is all about innovation. Get used to it. If you want to shit talk artists, do it to the bad ones. Pop musicians have been "stealing" for years. You'd be better suited to attack them than a decent band like Stone Temple Pilots.

  • @YoutibYoutib Did I say Danzig copied a Doors song? No. I said Danzig copied Jim Morrison's style. Listen to "Mother" and compared it to any other Door song. Sounds just like Jim doesn't it? And it's not plagiarism unless they didn't give credit. You plagiarize style.

  • @Noizchild Did you read my comment in its entirety? It's doubtful. So far you're committed to the claim that it's just as plagiaristic to build on (by "borrowing," your words) another's innovations as it is to literally copy another's riff or melody note-for-note. As I explained in my first comment, that's a silly idea. For the record, Danzig has often acknowledged his indebtedness to Morrison's vocal style. So even by your own lights, his stylistic "borrowing" does not count as plagiarism.

  • clockwork orange

  • from wich game is this song...

    Gran Turismo 1 or 2 ?

  • its from gran turismo 2

  • this song's just awesome.

can't believe i'm seeing this live tomorrow.

  • i saw this live last night in London Ontario

  • So, wait- is Scott back with STP, then? I thought I heard he was once, but I haven't been keeping up with them lately.

  • I just saw them live in Halifax for free last week. Won 2 free tickets on facebook. They were performing all their oldies, prepping for the release of their new album.

  • here i come, i come, i come, i come....

  • ahh...the rapist song. Sure it's dark in meaning and context, but ya gotta love it, ya know? Rock on STP! In this life, and the next.

  • olol@u

  • @RussianMindControl

and her black wings is a rip off of zero the hero by black sabbath? fuck off fanboy.

  • the sabbath riff and her black wings are similar but the straight out identical plagerism of sex type thing and snakes of christ is pretty obvious go to the clip : Danzig gets RIFFED off by Stone Temple Pilots! and tell me which riff came first

  • Zero the hero came out first, I don't care if stp ripped danzig off. Led Zeppelin made a career out of ripping off blue's artists and that doesnt change the fact that I enjoy their music.

  • They've probably sampled the riff

If u don't like stp why are you watching this?

Seriously starting fights over the Internet is one of the lamest things I've ever seen.

  • sound like the Metallica's thorn within a lil bit

  • You mean Metallica's Thorn Within sounds like this a little bit? After all, this song came first. Either way, I'm inclined to disagree strongly.

  • i recomend everyone go to the clip titled "Danzig gets RIFFED off by Stone Temple Pilots!" and judge for yourself

  • a lot of songs sound alike. ask chuck berry. lol

  • Danzig had one good song. He was much better in The Misfits. BTW STP did this riff much better justice and it is a simple riff that sounds good so I can see why multiple bands could come up with it.

  • You are such a fanboy. Why don't you go beat off to a poster of Glenn.

  • why are you here then. listen to your own music you confrontational fuck.

  • its not about who said it first, its about who said it better...

  • and danzig said it 100 times better. lol

  • But who made it famous.....Nirvana got Love Buzz from Shocking Blue, no one gives them shit. You don't like it you can eat a dick and smile.

  • @gTyler26 Nirvana also ripped off "Come As You Are" from the song "Eighties" by Killing Joke... Still a good band. Most of these "rip offs" don't even happen on purpose... As a musician there's been many times where i've came up with a sweet melody, only to later realize I unintentionally was channeling someone elses work. It sucks. I guess it probably sucks even more when you don't catch yourself and get labeled a thief.

  • this song is fucking awesome! i heard it on GH Aerosmith. i thought it was by Pearl Jam lol. Scott Weiland sounds alot like Eddie Vedder at the begininng

  • all this time i thought this was nirvana lol it was a bitch to find this song XD

  • I know I had a similar problem, I thought these guys did the song "Rape Me" which was done by Nirvana

  • lol XD
