  • shit man : }

  • @722erodz sounds good : }

  • Excellent! (or should I put !!!!?)

  • Please expain the pattern you are playing. I believe I hear a flamacue in there.

  • I like this cat, man!!! Fun to watch!!!!

  • It sounds like a hybrid of Peter Criss in ''One Hundred Thousand Years'' and April Wine's ''Roller''

  • @danny6241

That is so right, you have great ears!

  • pro :D

  • Goddamn, Good job tuning it, man. Sounds amazing.

  • what,s the set and what years ? sound great !!

  • @billbloodma

Ludwig classic maple made in 2001.

  • i like your style man

  • my personal left hand work out is a simple 4/4 kick on 1 and snare on 2 8th notes on hi hat with the left hand matching every 8th note but ghosting it.

  • @sketchbager

What you are doing is Rock'n'Roll from Zep...same as you describe

  • @GrooveDrummin except to play Rock'n Roll the left hand is just as prominant as the hi-hat and also the bass drum pattern is not just a simple 1 or even 1&3. It's 1& then &3& a lot of times but changes a lot. I like the count at the beginning. I use to love to stump other musicians like bass players and guitarists by seeing if they could come in on time with the record but they were always slightly off. Then I would play it 3 times in a row coming in exactly on time. Once they new the count....

  • @spercoco it's never a simple 1&3.. It's eighth notes that are scattered around, being picked up on the downbeats and upbeats

  • @jimihendrixtribute Read my comment again. I said it's never just 1 & 3 (the way Bonham played it); it's improvised. That being said it's still a simple straight ahead song to play. Improvising 8th notes on a bass drum is a simple task for any decent drummer. It's the feel and groove that Bonham gave it that's the delight.

  • Absolutely superb. Wonderful sound.

  • i always start fills with my left hand on a standard kit

i have been playing for 5 years is there anything i can do?

  • @mreliassimpson

Learn some rudiments and practice them everyday for at least 0.5 - 1hour.

  • Very nice. You've got some great videos there. I'm trying to learn all I can and you have definetly helped. I'm not a professional drummer but I would love it if you would critique my vid clips here on youtube. Just type in Drummer Richard Gray. Any suggestions would be appreciated (my clips are very short). The ones labeled "take 1" & "take 2" I think are better than the audition clip I did. Thanks.

  • What are the sizes on those Ludwigs!? :O Nice playing :D

  • Think Bonham: 12 x 14 rack, 16 x 16 floor, 16 x 18 floor, 14 x 26 bass, 6.5 x 14 Supraphonic snare.

  • Would you happen to have the sheet music for this exercise?

  • It's basically single strokes between right foot and left hand with accents on 2 and 4 while the right hand keeps time in quarter notes. Hope this helps.

  • WOW!, every second of that video was amazing. i esspecialy like your snare, any tips to get mine like that.? i know it was miced but still

  • Thank you! Ambassador coated medium tightness on top / Ambassador Diplomat very, very tight on bottom.

  • lmao wow thats exactly what i have on my snare!

  • peter criss drums to one hundred thousand years

  • Seems to be a medley of Pictures Of Home,

Space Truckin and Strange Kind Of Woman.

  • Awesome sounding kit and grate grooves.

    LUDWIS is the best.

  • monster soundddd i love it.. nice groove man and your kit its amazing big sizes rocks !!

  • sounds like peter criss, KISS alive.

  • yep, that's the jist of it..good ear!

  • I used to listen to that solo over and over. I still think it's cool with that flange effect. Good memories with that album.

  • another fine performance!!! very very nice!

  • Very cool, but could you break it down and explain what you're playing?

  • Yeah, I could...I will have to consider this in future vids.

  • wow your drums are amazing, i love larger size drums! and you play very well!, by the way, do u think you can tell me what kind of cymbals you have and the sizes?

  • Thank you! Paiste
