Only cool thing about that game is the niverse. Bit fu*ked, dont have that gothic style of original guilty gear, but that man still kicks ass xD Haha, anyway gg overture 2 will be awesome if we had something like all cast, and more concetration on fighting, roman cancel and techniques like that... Anyway, pretty nice game - but as a part of GG series - not that what we want.

I'm happy Guilty Gear changed into this, but Brutal Legend is everything this game should have been. I hope Daisuke plays it and gets some inspriation. Because after Brutal Legend, I no longer want GG to be a fighting game again. I want them to make it better.

Indeed, thats why they should be more careful, and do a project like that with both original fans and new technologies in mind. The biggest problem this game had was that the franchise was taken away from the master mind behind it: daisuke ishiwatari, Daisuke would never make something this bad. Even if most guilty gears have the same problem street fighter had (cloning with updates), they are still decent and good games, and some are great.

wait there: its possible, but they dont have the skills or creativity needed to do so succesfully. Look at the remake of megaman x in 3d, or bionic comando: theyre both 2d style mixed with 3d. If they wanted to make the game like adventure-action-strategy-batt­le whatever, they should try to do something like devil may cry or god of war mixed comandos. or even a bit like an rpg, with battles like valkyrie profile.

Some of the characters remind me of BB chars somewhat. Valentine = Rachel; Sin = Litchi. Don't really know about Izuna. Baiken?! O.o

I would've loved to see these characters put into a 2D form for AC+

They were originally going to call it 'Guilty Gear Judgement 2: We Found A Way To Make It Even Shittier!', but they decided that 'Overture' sounds better.

I liked the 2D old school fighting, but this game is still fun. I wouldnt count it as a gulity game either. I hope the next one is a 2D Fighter again.

i thought the 3d models were very clean. it has much cleaner animation i mean face it 2d fighters animation isn't clean. i would like to see the characters in the fighter and going 3d models isn't a bad idea.

the guy who did blazblue wanted to do 3d but arc said no. he really opted for it as well.

Daisuke wanted guilty gear like this from the beginning but it turned into a 2d fighter and come on give it a break, its nice to see something different, great story, not so great graphics music is still good in game.

Real Guilty Gear Fans would play this no matter what. Stop bitchin if you don't like it.

And.. thats why Daisuke had a huge role in all the 2d games, but the second it went 3d, he had little to no influence. In fact he went to work on a different project: Blazblue.

Not saying I hate this game, I just don't like the translation. It's a good slashemup/rtsey game with a good story, I just prefer 2d.

Also, a huge reason for my liking of GG was the characters.. and now all but 2 have magically disappeared. I would buy this game instantly given it had Slayer and Chipp.. but alas

to be honest.. this looks kinda shitty. I wont bitch about the obvious fault (it's not a fighting game). But i havent played it so it could be good... but this gameplay just looks... boreing!! It's waaay too flashy and i can barely tell what the characters are doing. the racing concept doesnt even fit the feel of the series.. and the combat looks like Chaos Legion...(which is NOT a compliment)
