Because of the amount of computers and servicing it needs, not forgetting how much the computers cost. Keep an RS with clean oil and keep it below 170-180bhp there will barely be issues with reliability.

@alexarthur1984 This RS turbo has the more modern 2.0 zetec bottom end, and has a proper set up, alot more reliable than the normal CVH. Also if you do get an RS turbo with the standard CVH engine as long as you change the oil once every 3 months (same with all big turbo cars like the evo) and keep them below 180bhp, they are reliable enough for daily use, just have to take care of the body work when the salt is down. I used a CVH rs turbo for daily use a couple of years ago :-)
@cosworthben88 yeh anno this has the zetec bottom end, my old esocrt rs turbo was just the 1600 cvh, i gave it an oil change with millers oils every 3000 miles,problems i got was things like purple relay,metering unit which is a cunt trying to get a hold of one,it was running pretty high boost so suppose that didn't help when a blew the engine up lol.i still wudnt trust one as an everyday car though, would love another as a toy, or if was even more flush ad have an evo lol.

That evo driver dont do that car justice, should be drivin a micra not a 6... Had a 5 that ran 320bhp and 3 rs turbos none of which would have came close to the evos acceleration... Thats one seriously quick/tuned rs turbo! Nice to see.
