yeah true...its a 1986 san dimas. it was probably custom made at the time with the matching headstock and all. I think the floyd rose might have been added later. which i dont mind. it plays like you wouldnt believe. people rag it for being flourescent pink but i could care less! haha

Wonderful.................some of Eddie's best work in my opinion, played flawlessly.

I wish music like this were being made more often these days. That song always gave one a upbeat positive feeling when hearing it. I like VH2 a great deal.

dude how do you get your guitar to stay in tune after pushing the whammy? my strings always get out of tune every time i use it

ya gotta have a double locking whammy to stay in tune. Floyd Rose always goes back to perfect tune. Thats why they are on every guitar i own

KDoverock93, eddie had a standard whammy only on the first album...i dont know, and even eddie doesnt remember, how he kept the guitar in tune with a standard whammy. However, when Van Halen II came out, Eddie had a double locking Floyd Rose.

theres no secrets, i have every VH album songbook and ive been playing off and on for 20 yrs. practice is the only secret. And knowing the music inside and out helps.

I think you were very close to how it was really played by Eddie on some things and on some things not. I was hopeing you would play the last lick but you didn't but the cool lick just before the verse was well done the one that fingered 1 2 4, 1 2 4 that one that's a tough one. Overall very good. Its actually nothing like eddie plays it but people seem to get a litle miffed when you do your own thing so i guess i gotta redo this one ..... =)

This is going to sound stupid, since you play WAY better than me, but on the intro, why not try some muting with your right hand? It will make it sound more tight, less all over the place.  You've got too much gain to play that part open. Try it. And I LOVE your playing!
