  • I'm seeing a Megabus MCI D4505. Do you have any idea how many MCI's are still in operation for Megabus?

  • @markiepolaris78 Yes, the newer MCI's like D4505 must have been reassigned to other routes here in the Phily division or it must have been moved to another division in another city. Philly's fleet are all Double Deck buses since April, 2009 when MegaBus added more of them. However, a few number of MCI D4505 remains in Philly fleet as they are now used on other routes in Philly division or used for back up to meet high passenger demand in some of its popular routes like Philly to New York City.

  • @seClip9 I see. Thanks for the info. I've noticed physically that the Philly division of Megabus has many single decker buses including the new Van Hool C2045E's. Megabus should've continued business with MCI, as the D4505 model is sharper looking than the C2045E of Van Hool. If Megabus prefers to have its latest single decker buses as Van Hools, they should've chosen the T2100E instead with polished alloy wheels, which has better exterior styling than the C2045E.
