I am dating Machine Gun Lou Buteras daughter, and practicing my butt off. She beats me bad alot and it drives me nutts. I am a very good "Bar Room" player, but its like re-learning with the proffesional pointers and drills her Dad and brother gave me on bigger tables.. I feel like a beginner again, but they say it will turn around.

Thanks, some real clowns but its cool. This was the first week I ever played straight pool and had 5 runs around 100 balls as a novice. This was 3 years ago now learnt so much since.

He's lucky he could run 40 balls the way he bumped all those unfrozen balls. I've played 14.1 for years, and you don't do that and have consistently high runs.

this was pretty much the first week Id ever played the game, I dont do that anymore! I played in the 14.1 worlds the last two years and learnt a lot.

the way you play is exactly a Snooker style......

you shoot faster than Pool players do....

you chalk your cue like Snooker players do.....

You're definitely a great shooter but need a lot of work on your pattern play. I could hardly believe you got through that 2nd and 3rd rack...lots of tough shots. Keep it up.

This was only my first week playing straight pool and I agree it was garbage! The funny thing is it didn't start out as a high run quest, the first few racks where supposed to be just warming up but I didn't miss so I continued. I get my own table next week so hopefully will post some better pattern runs, but thanks for the comments I totally agree!

I played Efren 8 Ball race to 11, alt break, no spot except he gave me the first break. We played for $200 and I lost 11-9.
