Pretty amazing where Youtube can take us! I've played music with my daughters all their lives (30 and 20), and this reminds me of those times and encourages me to prepare a song with them for the older girls' (a vagabond and bon vivant as well) wedding in May. The oldest daughter (Dark hair) is a US Navy Nurse and has just deployed to Kuwait. Stratman (Dad) just accepted a job in Kazakhstan, the younger daughter (lighter hair) is still a singer in Vegas. Gypsy/Bohemian spirits one and all who enjoy roaming the earth.

You bet! Unfortunately the girls are now grown and on thier own. I get to hang out with them at Thanksgiving this year. The eldest (on the right) is a Navy nurse and heading to Kuwait soon, she's the 3rd generation to serve in the military. The youngest is a singer/student/waitress on the West Coast.

Hey, I really like the guitar in this version--is it different from the original, and if so, how?

It is played in a different key than the original. If you play a "C" chord with the capo in the 5th fret, you are transposing to an F chord. This is more like the Dixie Chicks version.
