  • Incredible!

  • this is hilarious

  • There's no doubt in my mind the Boss would be tappin' his foot along to this charming rendition!

  • wow, too cool! made my day.

  • This is literally better than every Springsteen song ever made, and that is coming from a fan.....this song exists somewhere on a plane between humor and genius

  • It's funny how everyone disses modern day Sesame Street for pandering to Pop-culture with Glee and Justin Bieber muppets.

Obviously, these so called "Muppet Fans" have no idea where Sesame Street has been all along.

  • This is better then "Born to Run".

  • RIP Clarence Clemons

  • what is this bruce springsteen's song? (no Born To Run!)

  • @mazraty "Jungleland"

  • This is like a combination of jungleland and born to run

  • @RocknBeatles

My thoughts exactly lol...you can even hear a snippet of "Thunder Road" too!

  • this was one of my fav while growing up to the is not like it use to be all about values.... but the did know how to make up sounds tho..haaa

  • that was phenominal

  • Does anyone know the chords to this?

  • Wow, this is amazing. I wish Sesame Street was still as brilliant as it was decades ago (yes, it does have it moments still, but they just seem less often)

  • Sesame street used to be so bitchin. I wore my old vhs tape of this out when I was a kid. I would always fast foward to this song.

  • This is awesome LOL you can hear Born to Run, Jungleland, Thunder Road, and She's the One in fragments throughout the song

  • Ah, Bruce Stingbean...."we scream into that bitter night..." briliant. The person who wrote this obviously knew their Springsteen. Love the descending bit in the middle - what a great parody.

  • This is genius.

  • who really sings this? Great voice!!!

  • @blackslick73 His name is Christopher Cerf.

  • This is a great parody. The music is very good.

  • i had the seasame soundtrack with all this and i loved it !!!!

  • This is so great!! Thanks for sharing it.

  • hahahahahahhahahahahahahahahhh!!!!!!!!!!!! amazing!!!

  • Exellent

  • Haha awesome. I can here a lot of Jungleland, plus some Born to Run, Thunder Road, and a little of She's the One.

  • love the way he starts dancing! I'll do that an my next Springsteen concert :O)

  • Awesome

  • This is Square-One-esque, in the best possible way. Where has public television gone??

  • jungleland with born to run courus

  • Heheh, 101.9 RXP just played this lmao.

  • Sunday night when RXP played this I nearly crashed my car laughing. I love their Anything Anything show.

  • @alskater01 Haha, gotta love it

  • The cops are great! "Hey 3 + 1 equals 4!" Into that bitter night...

That's where good Sesame Street has gone...

  • this is soooo great...I can't stop laughing:)))) "There's a lot of us adders on the Jersey shore"...."Take it Clarice!" and then she comes with a saxophon..great, great stuff!!

  • Very cute!!! :)

  • LOVES IT! Haha!

  • the Sesame Street Bruce Springsteen version

  • Sesame Street had the right stuff back in the old day.

When I was a kid, I did not need morality lessons... I knew it was wrong to grab a gun and shoot people or be disrespectful or run around in circles screaming until I collapsed of exahustion.

Sesame Street in the day was smart and intelligent and appealed to my young developing mind as good, wholesome entertainment.

  • This is great, even for a Sesame Street sketch...

    BRUCE4LYFE

i remember when i watched Sesame Street when i was real young (im 13 now) and it was like the kids version of SNL xD

  • kids version of SNL... is that a good thing or bad? i haven't watched either one in a while.

  • lol

  • good

  • Quality!

  • I know who voice the muppet character, it's Christopher Cerf, who I'll bet also wrote the song.

  • This was 1979 according to 'Muppet Wiki'. From episode 2477 in Season 11. The character's name is Bruce Stringbean.

  • Funny stuff. I like it.

"There's alot of us adders on the Jersey Shore ...", I read, Bruce Springsteen was born in New Jersey.

  • Yeah I just caught that!

  • PUUUUUUNNNNKKK!

  • Oh wow, this is brilliant! Love it.

  • I wonder what Springsteen thought of this... I'm sure he liked it.

  • I've heard him cover it live.

  • this is adorable, i love this!! lmao

  • what year was this made

  • 1969. Was a staple on SS probably until the early 1990s.

  • How was it made in '69 if Born to Run came out in '75?

  • This was made in 1979

  • It said 1977 somewhere on wikipedia.

  • he wanted to get it perfect he didnt want to put it on the cd until everything was at its best

  • Near the end, the police men are looking at each other at first and they are like hey, lets start dancing too... lol

  • Take it, Clarence!!! Classic

  • There's nothing funnier than the crazy capering of muppets at the end of mad songs like this :D

  • "And we scream into that bitter night, hey three plus one is four"

    lol! good parody.

  • "There's a lot of us adders out here" LOL

  • This is why sesame is the greatest childrens show of all time. I love how this is pretty much a mix of every song on "Born to Run," and they still mamaged to teach something.

  • i love it!! I have done this same dance (the rocker chick) throughout my life..for kicks of course! the rocker chick is me!!!LOL

  • I like how he adds things that Springsteen usually has in his songs.

  • its a combo of jungleland and btr

  • That was fucking brilliant.

  • This is so funny...but brilliant at the same time.

  • Its Jungleland. Not born to run.

  • Yeah I thought this sounded like Thunder Road at first and then it turned into Jungleland... lol it's still funny though.

  • This is fucking genius.

  • I AM JOE KUSZAJ I LIKE PUPPETS AND BRUCE

  • Take it Clarence

  • Correction: her name is Clarice.

  • Clarence is Springsteen's sax player.

  • i hear "Jungleland" and "Born To Run"

  • it's a perfect mix of thunder road and jungleland, i think.

  • finally born to run

  • Is it Chris Cerf?

  • Bruce Stringbean and the S Street Band =]

it's got an intro that sounds very much like jungle land and the beginning of the song is sort of the jungle land progression but the chorus has sort of a modified born to run intro to it and theres elements of thunder road in there and after the sax solo well it ends like the born to run sax solo and the end of the song is just like born to run the way bruce sings it

  • The singer looks like Dennis Danell circa 1982.

  • better than the original songs, that's for sure.

  • I can't tell you how much I disagree with your opinion.

  • There are elements from "Born To Run," "Jungleland," and "Thunder Road" in there. It's pretty brilliant how they're all integrated into the same song.

  • Born to A.D.D, eh?

  • it sounds more like thunder road

  • Is the woman's hairstyle 80's Cyndi Lauper?

  • I wonder if The Boss digs it

  • The piano at the beginning actually sounds like the beginning of Jungleland, from the same album.

  • Lol that is nothing like the tune of Born to Run

  • Nice song.

  • I m confused? Is the red headed woman playing the sax Clarence?

  • No, her name is Clarice.

  • This is exactly what I remembered, and I still like it. Thank you very much.

  • The wonderful Christopher Cerf. The piano, sax and bells remind you of the "Born to Run" instrumentation.

  • Agreed!!!!!

  • Cool tune!!!

  • this actually sounds more like Jungleland than Born to Run. having said that, this video is just too damned funny.

  • I love this, isn't this Bruce Stringbean? :D

  • Is that what they called him? Awesome, I'll have to add that to the details!

  • @snitchberry Bruce Springsteen and the S Street Band

  • Yes it is!!!!!

  • @StaceSesame Bruce Springsteen* :)
