This is literally better than every Springsteen song ever made, and that is coming from a fan.....this song exists somewhere on a plane between humor and genius
Wow, this is amazing. I wish Sesame Street was still as brilliant as it was decades ago (yes, it does have it moments still, but they just seem less often)
Ah, Bruce Stingbean...."we scream into that bitter night..." briliant. The person who wrote this obviously knew their Springsteen. Love the descending bit in the middle - what a great parody.
this is soooo great...I can't stop laughing:)))) "There's a lot of us adders on the Jersey shore"...."Take it Clarice!" and then she comes with a saxophon..great, great stuff!!
Sesame Street had the right stuff back in the old day.
When I was a kid, I did not need morality lessons... I knew it was wrong to grab a gun and shoot people or be disrespectful or run around in circles screaming until I collapsed of exahustion.
Sesame Street in the day was smart and intelligent and appealed to my young developing mind as good, wholesome entertainment.
This is why sesame is the greatest childrens show of all time. I love how this is pretty much a mix of every song on "Born to Run," and they still mamaged to teach something.

it's got an intro that sounds very much like jungle land and the beginning of the song is sort of the jungle land progression but the chorus has sort of a modified born to run intro to it and theres elements of thunder road in there and after the sax solo well it ends like the born to run sax solo and the end of the song is just like born to run the way bruce sings it
There are elements from "Born To Run," "Jungleland," and "Thunder Road" in there. It's pretty brilliant how they're all integrated into the same song.
Incredible!

It's funny how everyone disses modern day Sesame Street for pandering to Pop-culture with Glee and Justin Bieber muppets.
Obviously, these so called "Muppet Fans" have no idea where Sesame Street has been all along.
