is there an adjusting, variable economy that follows supply and demand? is there any competition or do you just have a monopoly at the begging? if there is competition, is are the competitors names, or are they just mystery competitors?

@deathbydouble judging by the 3rd one (this video is the first ive heard of a 4th) there are competitors and yes they do have names. Sometimes you can make deals with them too, and if you mess with the wrong people, they'll try to sabotage your business. And there is an economy system with decent supply and demand system as well, and the citizens can end up pretty poor in a neglected town. And thats in the 3rd one. I bet the 4th would have nearly everything improved.

this game isnt for kids..... i love patrician, is very decent game n its a diffrent game from others.. there are no other games like patrician.. its totally diffrent...

BTW its a trading game... you start from a shop keepr n can bcom a king..... there are lots of things in this game...... if u r nab u cant get the concept of this game.............

@kooki457 Port royale is pretty similar, but is a little bit simplified compared to partician. There are certain things in port royale that i find to be better, and vice versa.
