  • so what are the lifelines? call the slum get your ass beat by police or shocked in the balls?

  • Ask to Jamal.... xD

  • E.) Dunkin Donuts! Thank you, come again. :)

  • @svt11111 BAHAHAHAHAH.... you ameri-cunts are so funny....NOT.

  • any idiot would know its awami league

  • Jamal Malik!

  • the host sounds and kinda looks like the one from Slum Dog Millionaire

  • Isn't it very ignorant to assume that because the other guy is ignorant then he must eb American?

  • Why the Fuck are they speaking English?

And why the Fuck is this the FIRST time they used the switch the question on THIS question????? Bengaldesh used to be a part of India Lol that's a easy question

  • The original host of India's version of "Who Wants To Be a Millionaire" was Amitabh Bachchan. The father in law of Aishwarya Rai. His name was mentioned in the movie "Slumdog Millionaire".

  • fuck amitab bachan

  • @bonnhew hahaha gud u r jealous wid indian actors we knw we r the BEST...

  • indians are very smart..!!

  • Finally one good thing I read from you! :)

  • bad assumption! Filmmakers will show what ever they need their movie to be successful!

  • A million rupee is like 20 bucks. Fuck that.

  • So.... two things to point out.

    1. A million Indian Rs. is equivalent to approx. USD 216,000. So ignorance part 1!

    2. Even if it was USD 20, do you know how many people in your own country are suffering from poverty?? You can't afford to say that when millions of Americans are fighting tooth and nail to make ends meet! So, that's ignorance part II.

Before thinking of yourself as part of the most powerful nation, learn to see its mistakes and accept them!

  • If you think India's poor, you must be the retarded est person in history.

go Google "top 5 richest people in the world"

you'll see India in 4 and 5. stupid kid.

  • @Sameer785 That's not the definition of rich. The average Indian earns $3,300 per year. Secondly upon Googling "top 5 richest people in the world" I find three Americans, 1 French, and 1 Mexican. Sincerely (A fellow Indian).

  • Spoken like a true ignoramus. You have no idea how much a million rupees is worth yet you do not have any problems with displaying your ignorance for everyone to witness. I am guessing you are an American.

  • @TylerMontana Hey dumbass, they don't win a million rupees in this show. They win 1 crore, which is the equivalent of 10 million. It ends up to be more than 200k dollars, which is far greater than many game shows even in America.

  • @Happydummy007 in kaun banega crorepati 4 my jaws dropped at what the top prize is. it was the highest i ever saw! it was= 5 crores (50,000,000). but that will be unlocked when the contestant reaches the 2nd milestone

  • @TylerMontana 800=20 dollars, 40=1 dollar

  • pardon my ignorance, but why do they keep switching back and forth between languages?

  • both languages are common in India

  • There are several languages in India. However, many know English very well as the country was once under British rule.

  • fuckin awesome

  • SLumdog Millionaire

  • Why can't we be friends?

  • you are welcome

now send back all our tech and customer service jobs....you people suck at them

  • Tell your companies to roll back from India as well, your companies exported these jobs. we didn't take it, and yeah tell your kids to study, so they can support your tech. institutions, why import skilled labor?

  • I like how in India they talk in both their national languages at the same time.

  • Do they say all the questions in both English and Hindi?

  • hey this is abit like in the movie called "slumdog millionaire":P

  • that is one hard ass question.

  • I have seen Shahrukh Khan has lead the program, and now it is Amitabh Bacchan:S

    hmm..

  • opposite, AB used to host it back in 90s and early 2000....then later SRK came in.

  • why is it bollywood actors

  • No, the Awami League was formed in 1949, Bangladesh became independent of Pakistan in 1971.

  • ab's voice is so sexy!

  • Well, the movie was literally ABOUT slums. I mean, a "slumdog" must have come out of slums :). Everybody knows India is more. But the slums do exist and the ovie was about them.

But a question back: were the slums portrayed accurately in the movie?

  • wat language? english +tamil?

  • its hindi !!

  • WTF....there was no bangladesh in 1949....it was called east pakistan till 1971...only after getting independence from pakistan it was named bangladesh...

  • No, I think you misunderstood, it's not saying that Bangladesh was formed in 1949, it's asking which political party FORMED in 1949 then went to form the first government in the newly created Bangladesh.

  • Does anyone else sense a slight discrimination in the show or is it just me? lol, after watching slum dog millionaire I guess I am seeing it that way.

  • no you idiot! they jus build the same studio in every country tht airs the show! uk's version isnt the only one!

  • Nothing like looking at the comments thinking they might actually relate to the video only to find two idiots embroiled in a 20 page battle about nothing!!!!!! Am I the only one annoyed by this??

  • Did they borrow the UK set or is it blue screen?

  • Its recorded in their own set in India.

  • That's cool. It looks really modern. Almost as good as the UK one. Even if the host looks like a Bond villain!

  • Are you really that stupid and ignorant? What part of the set could you specifically distinguish from the UK set and say it was substandard and make the remark that "Almost as good as the UK one."? MORON

  • What the hell is your problem?

I was praising the show. It was a positive remark about the production values. It's a good replication of the set that we have here in the UK.

  • There is a certifiable difference in the sets. The British version definitely has the superior version.

  • Governments in India have invariably been socialistic and hence pro-poor. So price control has been in place always. still i can say with confidence, cost of living matters too. My parents live in the middle east. A kilo of onion costs Rs.30 here, whereas there it is 100+. mind you, onion is not an essential commodity, that needs to be subsidised. Indians make records for cheaper costs of production. Tata Nano is just one example. ultimately everything is attributed to the low cost of living

  • The United Nation define survival for a human being in 3 step, you need food&water plus shelter everyday, otherwise your life is misery,no wonder boudhist propaganda state life his misery and pain, they knew this for a longtime how else can you control your populations otherwise, you tell them we are all the same we are all in misery and pain even for the maharadja so no need to cut his head in his mini Taj Mahal,They said Hindu mean not Christians or Muslim???

  • asshole

  • Computer-je!

  • @OrionVIII

    Lol! it's Computer jee.

which is like Mr. Computer or Computer sir

  • the man who presents is great !!

  • You should go see the movie slumdog millionnaires and you might change your mind...Only in corrupt country such a thing could happens, have your own contestant beat up by the cops because his winning and a slumdog,Everybody looking to much at what happens in the states and not enough in India,

  • with the amount of stupidity that you display in your comments i can only assume that you are an american..or may be worse- an australian...

that movie was made by a westerner who has a reputation for portraying developing nations as backward, so that you lazy, fat caucasian cokeheads can feel good about yourselves. do you really think that police in India would be arresting someone jus cause he won a tv gameshow???

  • Police in india are more easy to by like some policeman of my country but you need more rupi over here of course,My stat for India was a bit off i agree,61% over 15 years of ages write & read,CIA stat, ololol,The guy is Brithish not yankee for the maker of the movie,me,French-Canadian,Your kilo of rice could be price control like the white bread, milk and egg in my country so that poor men like me can eat without robbing or killing any middle-class or rich of canada,in my head i am an american,

  • there is a difference between police inefficiency and police naiveness. the movie portrays Indian police to be naive, which is definitely not true. for the record they aren't completely inefficient either - that depends on the amount of political intervention they face.

  • i knew the answer...i won a call center

  • Great clip, can you upload more of the episodes with Amitabh as a host. Thanks a lot.

  • hege hege a u nas hubercik sie odpiepsza w garniaka ;]

  • They speak in 2 languages?

  • Because much people in India speak Hindi, they speak in both English and Hindi.

  • They call it Hinglish :)

    I aint no Indian...UK till i die!!

  • skóra lol

  • co?

  • prowadzacy ma skore zal

  • No heh

  • The average Indian can speak at least 3 languages. Regional/state language, Hindi (national language) and English which is also a national langauge.

  • Define average...more of 1/2 the country can't read or write and have less then one dollards a day to go by...Average!!!

  • And, how much do you think a kilo of rice costs in India. In my state it's just Re. 1. that is 1/45 dollars. now tell me, is it that very bad to earn a dollar per day in India? there's a big difference. it's called the COST OF LIVING silly. the whole world doesn't function on USDs silly. GET SOME EDUCATION.

btw, ur statistics on literacy rate in India-OBSOLETE

  • Nothing wrong with one dollars a day imnot,i am one of the few that do not define himself on the base of money and yet a true capitaliste i am,the negative or positive side of life is always a capitalistique gain or loss for me,The whole world should function on one currency and one language so the oppressed could communicate togheter and see how there local politicians twisting the fact,YOU DONT WRITE YOURSELF THE NUMBER OF LITERACY IN YOUR COUNTRY I NOTICE!!!

  • hey isn;t the host the movie star ametabetchan i think i spelled it wrong but wasn;t he like a hero and a min carchter in action movies when he was younger ?

  • Yes, it's him

(You spell it like Amitabh Bachchan)

  • wow i was rght man that guys moveis were great i loved watchign them as a kid XD thx for the spellign buddy btw nice vid
