  • @nutier I'm saying this in the most respectful way- in now way I'm I trying to say anything racist or anything. Just sharing that this is actually music from a Lao song. You can see the original Lao version; you might like it. Just search: Lum Laos on HD(Aoy Jai: Lum Saravanh)

    You're right, however saravan is a genre that exists both in Laos and Cambodia. The use of khene is of Lao origin, but it does exist in Cambodia as there are still sizable Lao population in Cambodia's northeastern provinces. This video isn't even of Khmer customs and not even Khmer Loeu. I'm Khmer Loeu and Lao, I would know. So the title of this video is incorrect, however this singer is basically doing a remake of a Lao song as seen by the instruments and clothing in the video.
