  • My goodness, Kim sounds a LOT like her mother. I didn't really realize that until just now.

  • @melodyfromhvn, Kim and Monica are not related AT ALL. They once attended Greater St. Stephens in New Orleans but no relation. She is Kimberly Carree- Maxwell. Only has one sister: Angie & one brother: Isaac.

  • Beautiful!!!

  • Thou shall be my all in all! I think I just moved a little higher.

  • I miss Kim Maxwell's singing sooooooo much. She has such a beautiful voice. I grew listening to her sing in New Orleans at Greater St Stephens..her voice is so rich and angelic..i hopes she comes out with an album

  • DR. Charls Booth put it this way , Her singing has Blood on it it takes going throught something to minister like that, I pray that God will Keep her ni his Hand, we need Her , some of us are Hurt , in church but hurt , love the Lord but Hurt only what we do for christ will last, OH to be kept, thank you Jesus

  • Never mind I found it! O to be Kept by Jesus!

  • Brought tears to my eyes.......pure praise.......Who is the blessed woman of God leading? Amazing annointing, Oh to be kept......by Jesus.

  • Yes church!! Sing yall!

  • Jesus! I love her. The first time I heard this song was when they came to my church and she sang it... I loved it instantly. Where did she go?? I like the new guy but she killed and didn't have a cocky spirit about her when she came. SANG the SONG!!

  • I miss her voice as well, she went back to North Carolina! You should get a copy of this service, more worship and great preaching that you need to see.

  • Glory to God!!!!!!!! I shouted at this computer listening to this song. O To Be Kept...Thank you for posting this. My heart is just overjoyed listening to this song. Choirboy27 I have the one you are talking about and it is off the chain as well. I love these old 100's they have such a spiritual meaning. Be Blessed.

  • AWESOME

  • My choir sings this same version without the lead and kill it!!! I love this song.....I don't know what it is, but just the trust in knowing that I am kept my Jesus!!!!!

  • Wonderful rendition, the choir in harmony, and the soloist singing a passionate and spirit filled lead. It is refreshing to see and hear a choir praising in song without all of the theatrics that most choirs today display!

  • BEAUTIFUL!! One of my favorite older songs, plan to visit the church in July on vacation.

  • Yeah, I had that B. Chase Williams and Shabach tape back in 95-96...Played that tape till it popped and don't u know its hard to find the cd!!!!!!!

  • I found this particular song on aother CD... it is called WorldsBaddest Choirs... I found it at WalMart

  • I always thought Kim was a member of Greater St. Stephens Full Gospel Church.

  • Can anyone find me a copy of this song??? or tell me where I can find it at.

  • I had the CD. Our youth choir sang this arrangement in like '97. It's on a CD by B. Chase and Shabach. Good luck finding it.

  • Oh yea she is the sister of IKE of Men of Standard

  • Sing KIM

  • how can i get a cd over this song oh to be kept from your church

  • Whoever this lady is, she has a wonderful tone. Visually she puts me in the mind of Fantasia. Vocally she puts me in the mind of Marrett Brown-Clark.

  • i was thinking the same. I was just about to comment, but you beat me to it last month.

  • OH TO BE KEPT. GLORY

  • I like this arrangement not saying I dont like the original but sometimes change is good. And this sounds excellent leader and background sounds great!

  • I agree. Besides, the great thing about music is that it's open to be expressed and interpreted by the individual artist.

  • This song should be sung without a lead.. ALWAYS!!!!!!

  • Lileric-and everyone has their own opinion ALWAYS!!!!!, and yours is not mine, lol

  • Is Sis Maxwell still at GTR

  • she has moved to NC!

  • What part of North Carlolina did she move too?

  • I believe she moved to Greensboro, NC where her mother, Pastor Nancy Wilson pastors New Beginning Community Church, google search that church and contact them for Sis. Maxwell.

  • Thats what I kind of figured I know of her mom. She used to be our state minister of music for the Greater North Carolina Jurisdictional Church of God in Christ many many years ago before she had her church. Thank you Brotha Rollins

  • didn't her husband die sometime ago

  • Her sister Monica's husband Michael passed away a few years back.

  • Comment removed

  • I love her tone. who is she?

  • This is a baptist church and we tend to take things a little slower but I like it that way. Slower and more medicrational so that you can think about his goodness and register all that the songs are saying and have respect for its lyrics. Not saying that any other body dosent think about His works but this is just how us baptists do it. Nice singing...May God continuously bless and keep you!

  • I actually like this arrangement better than the origional. I just think they took it a little bit to slow. I have heard this version before and I really like it. As long as you have a powerful choir and sing it just a tad bit faster

  • I love her voice and the sound of the choir but not this arrangement at all. There are others on here which are more authentic to the original.

  • Is this the same mistress of music in the Old School Medley?

  • yes it is. this was 2 years ago

  • is there a part 2 ??

  • Yes there is, check it our in my video channel, along with the praise breaks, Pastor Directing, and The Ending. Look in my video channel

  • thanks. I'm a over the road truck driver and when i stop for the day i get refuel with your posting. thanks again and god bless

  • Isnt she the minister of music there?

  • Sis. Maxwell has moved on and Elder Kevin Bond is our Minister of Music & Arts

  • Moved on as in passed away?

  • She moved on to another ministry! I miss her singing, she could sang. Boi, we love Elder Bond, he's awesome

  • who is that singing?

  • Sis. Kim Maxwell!

  • Yes God!!!!!!Thank you LORD for keeping me!!!!

  • This is my JAM!...We sang this last week.

  • thats kim caree! she use to live in new orleans for a while. she can play the organ very well, too! is she apart of your ministry now or just a guest?

  • I get tears in my eyes everytime I hear this song. Ohhh to be kept.............

  • She SANG that song - I haven't heard it done like that in a long time ....... keep em coming Brotha Rollins

  • One of my favorite hymns of the church! Ya'll betta sang it!!!

  • Don't like the way they cut nothing off the first two times though. They should hold it out all the way through like they do on the third time. I do like how they repeated the Lord at thy feet part though. But like I said ya'll was sho nuff sangin and I am glad they didn't have the individual people on the mic singin cuz I like the "choir" sound much more over the "group" sound you tend to get with persons on the mic. God Bless ya'll and keep doin yo thang!!!

  • Minus the first 2 sentences, but thanks for the comments. This is my favorite song from our Combined Choir

  • Bro. Rollins....... what can I say!?!?! Thank you so much- her ministry is phenomenal! What a blessing! Thanks again- worth the wait-lol

  • Watch Pt.2 of Pastor Directing the choir as well.

  • yes yes yes!!!!

  • Sang it Sis. Kim! one of my favorites Hymns, this was a powerful ministry of music that Sunday in July '06.
