No they're not. I just had an arguement like this with some other guy on another vid so I'm just gonna say it and you can make of it what you want. GreenDay are still a punk band, they just decided to become a little more socially aware for the last two records which still kicked ass. They still have that punk essence, they just decided to write thoughtful music. They still act like 18 year olds on stage and play their old shit with just as much punch as ever.
Same here. Until I listened to their self-titled album I never knew. And Theo sings more songs than Tom on that album. Like 5 out of 9 songs. Kinda like blink-182 how they have 2 lead singers.
When Gob was good, How Far Shallow Takes You, thier best album and perhaps the best punk album ever made in Canada.
This takes me back to high school when I used to skip class to buy a Gob album on the day it was released. Now a day I don't even bother checking them out at HMV or MusicWorld unless I want to reminise of how they were once good and now not so much.
Please stop playing emo Gob.... please make your old fans happy and play punk rawk again.

bully definately was a good song but i also like tracks like give up the grudge and yes how far was a great album but i still think some of their poppier stuff is good too

There's a documentary coming out next month called One Nine Nine Four and if you like the skate punk from 94 to 99 I think everyone should see it especially the young kids of today.
