Times change for the better. In the 1950's a conductor from the USA showed this piece in the glory that it truly deserves. I'm talking about Leonard Bernstein & the NY Philharmonic when they were touring Russia at the time. Lenny dared to eschew the traditions of the past and chose to use tempi that were radically new, and of course DIFFERENT. This conductor, Christian Vasquez, has chosen that same path, to take the music beyond its original score - to make it SOAR!!!

ALLEGRO NON TROPPO!!! Fast but not break neck speed like is taking the movement . . . . losses all of its character. Other than that really good.
