I'd like to be able to opt out of social security! It's supposed to be an emergency/retirement fund for individuals, and that's not what it is any longer. I won't be getting back anything that I put in.
That's not to say that I don't care about the elderly or disabled who depend on it. However, they are currently receiving what they've put into it, so it's justified.

Well I am not what most would consider a "patriot", because I don't idolize the "founding fathers" or get all choked up over anthems and waving banners, and I have a very cynical view of how this land was conquered and colonized, but a Paul/Kuccinich ticket would theoretically be exactly what we need. First they are both honest and owe corporations nothing. They value the constitution. However, the best part would be their opposing views on many issues. Opposition inspires debate. Debate works.

Explain how he is against a separation of church and state because he even believes of a separation of church and state involving marriage. I don't agree with creationism but how does this interfere with his policy making... it doesn't! Taking solar activity (flares) into account there is very little evidence of climate change although I don't discount it. Again it doesn't affect his policies.

I'm English and 16, and have just came across Dennis Kucinich and his videos. As someone from an international viewpoint i would be delighted to see him as the next President of the US. Hope he runs again, and is successfull. Shame people don't vote on personality but rather the colour or gender of a person.

Register to vote as a Republican, or he CANNOT win the Republican nomination, because YOU will NOT be eligible to vote for him in the PRIMARY! You can still vote however you want in the final election.

I'm not american, but I regard the american revolution and american democracy as one of the greatest achievments of the modern age. It distresses me that people who seek to advance and develop the legacy of the popular struggle that engendered these things are so succesfully undermined by the mainstream media culture. I have little in common with Ron Paul in terms of prefered policy, but respect him vastly for refusing to cow-tow to the interests of established socio-political power.

McCain has a critical weakness ... an Achilles' heel. McCain must have the votes of the party's conservative base. The plan is simple. If as few as 10% of voting Republicans commit to NEVER vote for McCain, he cannot win.

I know a lot of Ron Paul supporters, and they very consistently admire Kucinich. In this time of gross betrayal by Congress (and the other branches), it is not hard to see who your real friends are.

Kucinich doesn't think illegal aliens are illegal. He says "no person is illegal." What more needs to be said? Kucinich is pro Mexican invasion. I don't think Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich would really be that great of a team cause they don't really agree on anything domestically speaking. Kucinich wants to legalize same sex marriage and Paul doesn't. Kucinich wants universal not for profit healthcare and Paul doesn't want any universal healthcare. Kucinich wants a department of peace and Paul wants to basically cut most of the departments, etc.

I'd love to see how a Paul/ Kucinich ticket would work with healthcare, since Kucinich is for nonprofit universal healthcare as a right and Paul thinks no one has a right to healthcare and if you can't afford to pay for it then you'll just have to stay ill
last time i checked, the Gov hasn't been covering anyone's medical bills enough, what with taking medicinal drugs from ill patients, that $6 million dollar we spent a year in keeping marijuana from patients could really help to cure a lot of them.
A politician who can put aside his pride and petty differences and stop worrying about how the media will respond to what he knows he has to do, is essential in today's America. Well I am not what most would consider a "patriot", because I don't idolize the "founding fathers" or get all choked up over anthems and waving banners, and I have a very cynical view of how this land was conquered and colonized, but a Paul/Kuccinich ticket would theoretically be exactly what we need. First they are both honest and owe corporations nothing. They value the constitution. However, the best part would be their opposing views on many issues. Opposition inspires debate. Debate works.

I don't agree with creationism but how does this interfere with his policy making... it doesn't! In fact Scott Walkers bill kept union workers and did not have to fire anyone even though it is outrageous in the first place you get any sort of benefits without having to pay for the whole thing as people must do in the private sector. I'm not american, but I regard the american revolution and american democracy as one of the greatest achievments of the modern age. It distresses me that people who seek to advance and develop the legacy of the popular struggle that engendered these things are so succesfully undermined by the mainstream media culture. Give me a break, there is nothing "vague" about Darwinian evolution, there are mountains of evidence across all natural sciences that do not contradict what Darwin put forth and was subsequently developed by the hard data. Well it's totally out of control at the minute, since we ( UK ) joined the EU the borders are just wide open. Millions of eastern Euros have come, and whilst some of them are good workers etc, they have also brought their own crime. which is bound to happen.

I know not everyone can get a job. Thats only if your on a disability (real one). But what I mean is that it encourages people not to work. If they were to gradually cut the money given to those who live off the government because they don't feel like working (though its sometimes hard to tell). A lot of Paul supporters (like myself) don't give a crap about illegal immigration and realize it's nothing more than "hot button" issue designed to scare people.
Running with Kucinich as an independent would be a very interesting situation... I think they would appeal to a wide demographic. To WIN an independent run you will have to appeal to a wide demo.

I don't think Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich would really be that great of a team cause they don't really agree on anything domestically speaking. Kucinich wants to legalize same sex marriage and Paul doesn't. Kucinich wants universal not for profit healthcare and Paul doesn't want any universal healthcare. Kucinich wants a department of peace and Paul wants to basically cut most of the departments, etc.

I am glad to see what Ron Paul thinks about the welfare system because so many hardcore socialists think he is so insensitive - he isn't completely against welfare, he just wants a balanced budget & doesn't want dependence on it!

A politician who can put aside his pride and petty differences and stop worrying about how the media will respond to what he knows he has to do, is essential in today's America.
