Just one thing keeps me wondering : I know the Batpod has it's engines placed irectly inside the wheels (as the Tumbler), but it seems to have no exhaust pipe anywhere. It also hums a little differently than a normal motorcycle. Is it really electric-powered, then ?

it sounds like a jet engine, which is possible to fit in a motorcycle but isn't practical(expensive yet doesn't provide much additional power,if any). also due to the throttle/gas/accelerator operating characteristics being different for road vehicles and aeroplanes. on e road there r traffic lights, so vehicles don't apply gas throughout e journey constantly. but a/c do.

I love the bat-pod. I watched the special features and noticed that if you look caredfully when the bt-pod is comming out of the Tumbler that the two wheels of the bat-pod consist of the two FRONT wheels of the Tumbler. Also ya know that they actually built this bike in real life, along with the flipping of the semi-trailer and just about all of the stunts in this movie are real and not done with CG or miniatures.

The batpod isn't anything like the conventional motorcycle. Most motorcyles have one engine in the middle, while the badpod has 2 motorized wheels. The batpods steering is also different it that you steer it with your shoulders rather than the hands. Another feature that makes it unique is that you lay on your stomach rather than just sit on it. Most of the technology in Batman Begins and the Dark Knight isn't impossible. Watch Batman Tech on the history channel to learn more about his gear.

With all due respect to the batman fans (i like batman to), the Bat pod looks like shit, even though it's a nice concept, the big fat wheels and all that bouncing made it look like a toy, also one of the main features that made batman so cool is the extra speed of his vehicles and that bike or "machine" if u like does not look to fast.
