I am planning on doing this also! My question for you is, do you need to add fire bricks? All of the home improvement stores are telling me that the bricks could explode if there is a air pocket inside.
We built ours 3 years ago from bricks that some guy wanted to get rid of. Got a small load of them for free, and used some of the best ones for a fire-pit. No mortar, just stacked in a circle inside a pit we dug a foot or so deep. Yours looks very nice also.
That fire pit is awesome! No it's not stupid to teach your child to be quiet. In the very worst of scenario's, it may just save your lives(reference the movie Tears of the Sun). Sorry bout the garden brother, check out Modernsurvivalonline's channel. His raised bed gardens are top shelf. He's even growing stuff out of 5 gal. buckets. I'm not trying to slam you, it's just you've not really said much about gardening in any of your videos. It's a vital skill we all should learn, including me.
@jistaguy45 Your right bro!! I aint got the green thumb skills at all.. I've tried to growing all kinds of stuff in there and I just aint got the skills...lol I need to research gardening more.. Thanks for the tip!!!
Fire pits are top shelf. I have connections at a pipe yard that gave me a 30"OD X 12" tall ring of scrap 1/4" pipe. It's like camping at home. Obviously not as attractive as yours. Awesome.
