For a cheaper product that allows you to erase simple mistakes without erasing the entire page, look up: Paperless Note Taking Device with Playbook (prototype 4)

@MINEKRAFTSLAYER it's still just a concept, and it's probably going to be more than $99 like they originally claimed. if it ever does get released though, it will be a great product.
great initial product, but the company sucks. they could have done so much more to perfect this product, stuff like a load function so you could view the notes later. there is such thing as a device being TOO simple.
Its too expensive for the function it offers. Although this is great for kids who are just beginning to learn how to write, grocery lists and whatnot, its too expensive.
I would like to see a boogie board model that is biased towards sketching - but it would definitely need a selective erase function. I'm sure that artists and cartoonists would find it irresistible if such a thing became available.
You know, the sad thing is that i would gladly pay $150 for a BoogieBoard with "selective erasing" and "view page #" options that would be obviously shown right in its own screen, for the best of portability and functionality; Just think of the millions of students/workers/homebuddies that would benefit from having around such an useful and yet inexpensive item, a truly writable/eraseable tablet with lots of SD memory !
So, you cannot erase parts of notes and/or drawings ? If the user makes a mistake and wants to erase some of it while keeping the rest, it cannot be done ?
If user saves an image for later viewing, can it be reloaded to the board or not ? Is a stored image/drawing viewable only when connected to computer ?
If that is true for these questions, then how stupid are the developers for not listening to their customer base ?
@mcavfreak I agree, although I can understand if you can't reload an image onto the board (it keeps it cheaper that way by using less electronics), i find it ridiculous that you can't erase parts of notes or drawings. I make mistakes all the time and I don't want to have to be scribbling around to erase it. Surely an erase button would be an easy addition to add to the board for the next model.
I want this! This is amazing. Finaly I will not use paper just, start up this and write my notes there and then put them into computer. Much better than actual paper!

It cost more than a Kindle (Amazon) and you can get a REAL tablet with that kind of price.
... and it not even solar powered.
It truly a RIP product!

I like the idea, but right now they are not even matching the functionallity with a blackboard.

Im just curious, Can you just save ONE Image at the time or are you able to save more of them and store them on the Boogie Board Rip?
cr9pr3 5 months ago
@cr9pr3 It can save around 200 screen shots at a time but can't reload the image on the board after you've cleared it.
