Well, I can't play as well as him... But you can get this kind of sound, if you hit the string not only with the pick, but as well with your thumb (not the nail, only the skin). Sorry for my English^^

@intoxicatedskier It is called a pinch harmonic... if you youtube or google it you'll get a video or tutorial on it. My sources are i've been playing for 8 years... it can seem very frustrating and difficult and won't make sense at first ,but soon it will become like 2nd nature, and you'll hardly have to try :) practice always a few hours a day.

Dude, I've been playing this solo for some time now (notice that I'm not in a band) but I'm really impressed by your cover, perfect indeed!!! If you were impressed by this song (as it should be) you defenetly have to listen to all of Opeth stuff. It's unbelieveable music, and it will enrich your already beautiful

playing and your sense of music in so many ways I can't really tell you. Trust me!
