Houston = 6 games

Reds = 3 games

Cardinals = 6 games

Brewers = 6 games

key here is win when the brewers win and try to win when they lose.. if the cubs lose, hope milwaukee loses, lol.. always the scenerio come september b/w 1st and 2nd place teams..

imo, i think lou should let Samardzija start one of these days; see how he does. he played starter in AAA ball and performed just fine; pitched well as a reliever in the cubs pen.. not bad for the kid though, 1-0 with a 0.93era in 16 games.. allowed just 2 earned runs in 19.1 innings pitched.. id say give him a shot; see how he does pitching 5 innings.. maybe against the mets.. any thoughts?

I think they should just leave him in the pen where he is going alright.

You shouldn't risk anything. Especially when the Cubs have one of the best pitching staffs out there.

Look at the Yankees, they moved Joba Chamberlain from the pen to the starting rotation, he did OK with a 4-3 record but he also got hurt.
