If the Church is to be faithful to God’s Word and the Church that Jesus founded then it needsto reflect the fact that many women were leaders in the early Church (Priscilla, Phoebe, Aquila, Lydia etc) and that the priesthood is a man-made state that did not appear until the end of the 2nd Century – after women were misogynitically ousted from leadership positions.

This is not the way priests are ordained in the Church of England. I don't know about the American Episcopal Church, or the Roman Catholic Church. It looks a bit suspect to me!

clearly this is not even close to catholic. The laying of hands is only done by the Bishop and Priest. Plus when the hands are laid on the head the deacon becoming a priest kneels infront of the cathedra or bishops chair. Im a CATHOLIC priest and i know how i was ordained and how other are as well.

MtheChequeGuy, The Missouri Synod, Winsconsin Synod and ELCA do not ordain deacons, priests and bishops at all, the churches lack the historic episcopate and the apostolic succession. This is not the case with for example the Church of Sweden, which is in communion with the Church of England.

Well this is of course not roman catholic. But maybe there will be female deacons in the future, that is a very different matter than priests..

@adamy485 Actually they haven't all been excommunicated, just the 1st wave, the waves after them recieved warnings. It is true that a descending bishop began this movement (and may still be a bishop) he gave the 1st women bishops what he called authority to ordain and they are continuing. They have hidden the name of that bishop to protect him.

I'm not stating support nor condemnation, just saying you are wrong by saying they were excommunicated

I also direct your attention to Canons 1378, 1384, as well as 1361. This "anonymous bishop", those "bishops" he ordained, and the womenpriests that function have all incured Latae Sententiae Excommunication, meaning "automatic". I assure you, they are excommunicated.

But our canon law teaching that by their actions, they incurred an automatic excommunication as I cited in the above canons. I was only disagreeing with your comment that "not all had been excommunicated". Even if the vatican doesnt know the bishop, he is nevertheless excommunicated.
