  • Do the cab doors open? Do the fans on top move?

  • @intercity112255 On all the new Super detailed Hornby HST models, the cab doors open. Depending which version you go for, the fans do work (motorised car). These GC ones don't have the fans. See hornby's website & catalouge for more details.

Thanks for sharing Iain! Really good! Well done!

  • Thank you, cheers.

  • A 3 car version has been spotted on the network, consisting of 43XXX + buffet + MK3 standard + buffet + 43XXX.

Was only a stock move, but something I am considering buying a second buffet coach for.

Talking of Buffet coaches, how do your windows look mate? one of mine has cracked already, think due to heat?

    cheers

  • The windows were okay last time I looked, but will check my coaches. A 3 car that's what many of us space starved models need :-) Cool. Cheers.

  • I hope Hornby release the HST PC's in XC and EMT liveries next year!

  • I know on their site their asking for suggestions for future models. I think they will given time, cheers.

  • I know what i would like now they have the mould for Buffer-fitted power cars. They could do versions in each livery power cars with buffers have carried.

  • Yes that's a dead cert, they'll do that.Wonder what version of livery they'll choose to do?? Cheers.

  • well a few grand central power cars were last seen on the wcml in the old virgin livery, i only know this from some footage i saw and i instantly recognised the number

  • I remember seeing them run with the class 91's on the ECML back in the late 80's. Looked quite strange seeing a 91 at one end & a class 43 on the other. Suppose to of been very lively in the acceleration dept... wished i taken photo's of then back then :-( oh well.

    Cheers.

  • you must have spent thousands on your OO. I have forced myself to stop buying any more rolling stock now!!
