Can't put it into words but I like part when Jang Geum was told that she was such nuisance by acting as if she knew everything. That time Jang Geum realized more about the essential of 'helping people'.

Protagonist does not always have to be portrayed as doing everything perfectly.

I love it when one country makes such good drama about its own history. Korea is Korea. Each nationality has its own uniqueness - so just be proud.

I expect there will be more korean drama with theme like this.

As a Korean, I can say that Non-Koreans would understand DaeJangGeum about 70% of its original contents.

But, on the other hand, I would like to know how does you feel DJG as men who don't know Korean history & language.

Related with language, Korean is very delicate and its variation is plenty. when we express the color "Blue" in Korean, We can say it with 10 more variations and only Koreans understand its slightly different meanings. Moreover In DJG, there're lots of old Korean Languages :)

@leophilippines It's not like that. It is hard to explain, but I can say that only a quarter of well educated and sensible Koraens can understand DJG enough. I think this is why some great Korean novelists & poets didn't win the Nobel prize for literature yet, such as Hwang Sok-yong, Ko Un,,,etc., though they got nominated for the prize many times.

This was one of the best korean movie out there. It's not about getting cancer and dying it's more to it. That's why I love this love so much. Out of all the korean drama out there this is the only one that interest me and enjoyed the most. I'm not a big korean drama fan since they all have the same storyline. But I wish I can watch this drama again.
