  • Why cant bands play this smooth, soft and saulltry any more. Man what a beautiful thing this was....

  • What a feeling it must be to be Muddy Waters in this situation

    - a bunch of british palefaces in front, nobody knows why they cant get enough of real music in this time

    - a black tractor driver from Mississippi is the king on stage in the year 1964 in the UK :D

    - he gots his mojo defenitly working and the crowd not really, eh ? the look like they see an alien

he must feel like the king on earth and in my opinion he is.

  • Mojo written by Preston Foster although Waters & Chess tried to make it theirs! Zepp not the only ones trying to nick other people's work!

  • The coolest muddy! Great sound, what a band, Willie Dixon double-timing, Matt 'Guitar' Murphy. Is that Pinetop on the great piano solo? ...or who is the pianist and drummer?

    Thanks for sharing!

  • @calibahi The pianist is Otis Spann and the drummer is Billy Stepney :-)

Astounding vocal, amazing back up, and much credit to the cameramen, editors and sound men of this piece.

  • 2:58 Hello druggie friends! :)

  • matt guitar murphy in the mix aswell!!! :)

  • ... I've been looking for this song for 2 months after I saw it in a Led Zeppelin documentary. They only played the first line, but it was right then and there I know Ioved it... I think I can die in piece now.

(The reason they showed it was cuz Led Zeppelin had a lot of influence by these talented artists)

  • I wonder if muddy got a rise out of having white people entranced and almost worshipping a black man in that era?!

  • Granada TV Manchester Dec 1963

  • How much coke is he on in this footage? His movements, as funky a they are, are odd even by his standards. Also his eyes have a particular glean to them.

  • @OscarCommie How would YOU know if anything was "odd?" I have your "glean," glean THIS.

  • @OscarCommie He does seem extra happy and peppy there.

  • Granada Television 1963, they showed the full show in the late 80's

  • A great performance by a great artist -:) This is roots....Made me swing all over -:) - Eddie

Anyone knows who's the girl at 0:56? She's so beautiful!!! She must be pushing 70 nowadays but still...

  • @ccrdk Muddy put on a spell on her, dude.

  • @ccrdk I put a spell on you ^^

  • pure blues man

  • =8oO Whoa!

Man, that was waaaaay cool. Muddy gives us an almost lounge singer interpretation out front, while the band's at the jazziest I've ever heard.

  • Manchester, autumn 1963, a show called "I Hear The Blues".
