I work with billy at music central in egg harbor township new jersey and everytime he pluggs in and plays, everyone's jaw drops! hes truly a master of the instrument and hes one of the most humble guys you'll ever meet too.
I would like to see the picture from the UK! The guys are over across the pond playing for a few dates this month. We THOUGHT that we would be seeing them next weekend back here in PA, but that gig date got changed, so we have to wait a little longer now. :-(
The "amazing trick" he does at 3:54 is an effect called a FREQUENCY ANALYZER or FREQUENCY MODULATOR(among other names), which does affect the pitch of the notes played. From what I can observe, he has the effect setting on a very high level.
I will pass the request along, but I have to tel you that I doubt that he could find the time. Take a look at The band's schedule on their MySpace site and you will see they are BOOKED like mad. That combined with a lot of other stuff he has going on right now makes me think that he will be hard pressed to do the tabs for you. Sorry, just my expectations.
Sorry, I have not gotten it down myself yet! My son is a better player than me, when he gets it I will try to explain it. He just appears to run his hand lightly up the strings, but I did a SLIGHT attempt at that once after I saw him doing it, but it sure didn't sound like what Billy can do! I really never put any effort in though, so NEXT time! ;-)
Yes, but he makes it look a lot easier than it is for sure! He is pulling off some killer harmonics there. Hell, this guy knows ALL the cool tricks there are to know and then some! I am lucky enough to see him live about once a month and it is a real treat to anyone, but especially a life long guitar player! As a matter of fact, the rooms are getting full of guitar players there to see a master!
