Well for Mark that was his season 4 1/4 final in reverse that time he won after his opponent Lawrence stumbled at the top of the travellator this time he lost because of the exact same reason

People wanted this to come back because they loved the nature and atmosphere of the show. When they brought it back understandable they had 2 change the gladiators but the producers got 2 excited n changed the things that gladiators woz iconic 4- the music, the huge arena, and the distinctive eliminitor. It no longer felt like gladiators, people did not relate to it, n it was axed. If they didn't change so much it would stil be around now n may een have made primetime sat night tv!

He was in this series along with Piers who won series 6 and Mark who won season 5. Mark from season 4 and Dave from season 7 made it to the grand final though! Its a shame Paul Field didnt make it to the last series though he was brilliant :(

Yeah i have to agree with fattyword althought phil was the fastest over the eliminator we ever had paul was the best all round contender we ever had!!

the 90's seasons where the best by far. the new seasons on sky one are nothin compared to the atmosphere and the excitement of the 90's.

I just saw the new eliminator. What a joke! The 90s series ruled. Actually I preferred without this trapeze and the first cargo net and with the horizontal balance beam. Mid 90s were the best

The crowd atomsphere is definitely bigger and better in the 90's version and i think the contestants are better. The new gladiators just seems a bit too polished

My sis told me about gladiators when we saw an interview with the new presenters of the new gladiators, she said it was amazing and now, watchin this, i see what she meant. This is brilliant!

i dnt care what any one else thinks of wat im about to say but this is my opinion.....The new gladiators are nothing compared to the old 90s gladiators.....the old gladiators wer better and i also tought they had better contenders aswell....just my opinion

Amazing how much better this eliminator is compared to the new Sky one show. Music is 100x better as well

I totally agree with you, the old music was excellent! Also the old eliminator was much better, no contest! Although I have to say I preffered the eliminator from 1994 when Phil Norman won it, that was brilliant, the new show is terrible at the moment.

well i stopped watching it after series 7 (the one with Jeremy Guscott instead of Fash) because they changed the time schedule according to what Ulrika saidon a program on Sky One.

So you telling me they brought back all 33 gladiators for the last show, even Jet! LOL i mean i was 14-16 when Gladiators was at its best (1994-96) and Jet was one of the main reasons I watched it, i feel guilty i missed the final episode because i felt that they had axed the program after the schedule changed
