I came across this while looking for songs to make a cosmopolitan list of songs for myself, among which I have included "Major Modern General". Even though the election has long since past, I like many aspects of this song; 1. the use of, "you bet'cha", adds a nice comical reference, 2. the song verses makes fun of her lack of knowledge and being thrust out as a national figure, and 3. (most importantly) the setting references an older traditional demographic of americans and some perspectives.

This is a great song with really clever lyrics that capture the essence of why its so scary that Sarah Palin is running for VP. We have to laugh to keep from crying and this really makes you laugh. Kudos to the lyricist and singers! A great take off on the original.
