Joe, you sound amazing, also I noticed that you play saxophone also. Its really amazing that you play both and really good. I used to play Oboe and Tenor Saxophone in High School, every now and then I pick them up and give it a whirl when I'm in a music store. Keep up the good work, you have really motivated me to play again

@jarhead18331 thanks buddy!!! I have a degree in saxophone, a degree in clarinet, and a master degree in oboe :)  It sounds really impressive, but it just really means that I practice a lot... basically all day every day I spend playing one of my instruments :) I am so glad you're motivated! Keep up the practicing and post some videos when you get comfortable!!!!

Your oboe sound is so sweet, which is a surprise, since you say you need to bring your oboe level up. There's a lot of professionals that don't have that sweet of a sound.

I prefer the double reeds of all the wind/brass instruments. My fiance plays oboe and english horn. I've listened to a lot of oboists and concluded most don't have the sweet sound I prefer in the oboe.  Holliger and Goossens are my favorite because of their sweetness.

Keep it up and I might have to add you!

oh wow you're so kind!!! i think my sound is alright but i would like it to have a lot more "focus" and be a little rounder. Maybe in a year or so I will finally be happy but until then practice, practice, practice!!!!

yes it is the new oboe! Thank you for my comment on sound. I have a LONG way to go to get my oboe playing to the same level as my saxophone playing but with hard work I know I will make it someday. I think when I have a better reed the marigaux will really shine but even on a decent reed it plays fairly well. Thanks again!!!!

hmm it ate my response! I dont know if i "nailed it" but it was fun to play. I bet I could do a really good job if I practiced the breathing a bit. Maybe i will (but i probably wont hahaha).

Very well done! You should do more of these playing videos.

I've been thinking you should do a video where you have like... 4 boxes, each box has you in it playing a different instrument, playing a song.

CONGRATS!!!!! I still havent started my new character in RoM... so much going on with life and i reinstalled WoW (why on earth would i do that????). I'm trying to put together a video of me playing music like this on all my instruments but i'm not really sure how to edit everything together with my video editing software (i'm a bit of a n00b)
