well actually the weight of the desert eagle combined with the semi-auto action make it a pretty soft shooter. all other things being equal, a revolver will recoil much more than a semiauto simply because all of the recoil is transferred to the shooter, rather than a portion being used to eject a spent round and strip a fresh one off the magazine
even bb guns contain reoils not so much of course anyway that guy handled the recoil pretty well if i'd shot that DE it would be flying thorough the air and probably hit my sisters face :D

All guns will cause movement due to recoil, that's per Newton's laws, any action will cause equal and opposite reaction. All semi auto pistols not properly maintained or not held or fired correctly will jam. I've seen glocks, 1911s and all other brands jam for one reason or another. If you want a gun that does not jam, get a good S&W .38 or .357 Magnum revolver, not seen a cylinder jam ever and if you can't do it with six shots, you need a rifle anyway.
And a Desert Eagle is not going to make you win a fight in a defensive situation, you will get lit up before you ever get to point that big ugly thing. If you really want usable firepower and indimidation at the same time then get a glock 29(10mm) with a 29 round magazine(not for concealed carry obviously).

They have them at pretty much any gun store, new or used. Or if there is a gun show coming to your area you can check on out there as well. I just bought a sig p220 .45 for my carry weapon, and I have a mossberg 590 special purpose shotgun for home defense.

hey jackass, the glock is made from a polymer around a steel casing. it's been proven to be much more durable and have a much longer life than an all metal handgun. and, it's lighter, has a higher magazine capacity, and is extremely accurate. that's why the vast majority of law officers carry a glock 22 (.40 caliber).
1911 is a better pistol all around in my opinion. Glocks are known to jam and lack a Safety which in my opinion makes it a dangerous weapon unless its in the hands of some one highly trained.
the glock also has an unsupported chamber which can lead to kabooming. but the price point is the hard thing to swallow with the 1911. a good one is so much money

Maybe is just me. But ive seen my share of glocks jam. Glocks are also infact, Cheap pistols. I own a Taurus PT92, Ruger p95 along with a few rifles, ive found both my pistols to be very reliable. I also think if you have a family it is important to have safeties on your weapon along with the obvious things such as gun locks. This why i think that its perfectly fine for law enforcement agencies to use glocks.
Both your Taurus and your Ruger are cheaper than Glocks, and I'd take a Glock over either, however I have nothing against Ruger other than the fact that they find it nice to stamp the instruction manual on the side of the barrel/slide.
That's a load of B.S. I've got 5 Glocks, never had a jam. They are also very safe. What's safer trying to stop someone with the safety ON on your 1911, or trying to stop someone with no safety using a Glock?

it can shoot the same rounds as a revolver , the .44 and the .357 (.357 holds 9, .44 is 8) or it can use the .50 which holds 7
