The Nets R F*cked without RJ. I talked to GM Hammond from the bucks a week ago and thanked him for adding a true winner #24. Bucks R Ready 2 Rise in 08-09!
i think this guy deserves a standing O even more than kidd. He never wanted out of NJ, it was the start of his career and his home. He was absolutely shocked and dismayed and saddened when the trade happened.
like i stated earlier, we'll see if its stupid in a few years. this team was only going to be a mediocre team with jefferson here not to mention his contract kept our hands tied. when kidd was traded our chances to compete went with him. its time to move foward and go in a new dirrection. I fully trust Thorn in wut he's doing, this is the guy who brought kidd and carter here and drafted Jordan for the bulls and turned got the nets to the finals in 2 years after being the worst team in the league
you dont kno wut yi will become. ill admit im not too high on him but he's young and has alot of potential and the nets get a huge marketing boost from him with the chinese audience especially in jersey/new york where the asian pop is much higher than in milwaukee. either way u look at it we're in a good position for the 2010 FA's financialy and have alot of young talent( espesialy our bigs) just gotta be patient and see wut thorn does.
but they traded jefferson for cap space, theres a HUGE free angency coming in 2010 if u havent noticed, which includes, Nash, stoudemire, dwade, chris bosh, lebron james, and all these other players. y do u think the knicks traded away crawford and randolph? now the knicks have enougn money to sign up to 2 players in 2010. i mean its not for sure the wanted players will sign, but the nets and the knicks will get some good players
im not sure if you've actualy read the entire post of mine you jus responded to, because if you had you'd see that i clearly stated that "we're in a good position for the 2010 FA's(free agents)". RJ's contract was to big to keep to do anything with if we want to sign someone in 2010 and it was either keep him or carter and thorn chose carter. Maybe he feels he can get more value for carter down the line; who knows.
lol man i hope we do get james lol,, ur right though we gave up jefferson at a dum time,, he was getting by the years,,, nd we could of got better trade value for him
you have to look at it from a rebuliding point of view. they got rid of RJ's huge contract for a marketable player in yi and got a contract that expires in 2010 with simmons. That will be a huge year in free agency including lebron james who might welcome moving to the nets with them moving to Brooklyn and him being close to jay-z. At face value it looks like a bad trade but it sets us up to make big moves in the future.
love the nets, been a fan of jefferson, and will be his fan regardless of what jersey he wears. he brought excitement (along with Kidd/K-Mart) into the franchise and gave the nets fans two opportunities to see them play back-to-back championships. trades happen, and we have to live with it.
RJ we will miss you so f'ing much man. I hope you acomplish some great things with the Bucks we are really going to miss you. He wasscond all time on the nets scoring list he was the las member from our finals team. Yi will be good though, you are the best and thank you for everything. You BIGGEST fan- JVas93311
Yi not gonna be bad man, give him time. Everything happens for a reason & Rod Thorn has never made a bad trade. It hurts to see him leave but we know he was a product of Kidd. He was not a leader, & more of a follower. And he crumbles under pressure.
this was the 1st year the nets havent made it to the playoffs in 6 years so theyre a playoff team theyre jus makin sure it doesnt happend dis year plus vc is a better leader den rj
i HATE his nasally voice
