Cabela's + Activision = Fail. But they're not worried about making a real "Hunting Experience" game... They just want the little money they get from kids and their mothers that buy this game. If it was a real hunting experience no one would play it except real hunters, which is way less of sales potential.

... Why is the bear out in the middle of winter? I mean I know bears wake up regularly during hibernation, but they don't usually go out.

They could have made it where there was no snow (because Alaska doesn't always have snow), that way the ending would make more sense. No shame in being accurate. But then again, seeing as how they made other parts of the game play out, they probably don't care.

Kootra if you want a realistic hunting game get Hunting Unlimited. It's insanely realistic and you actually have to track the animal there's no "tracking cam" or hoof print marks on the ground. It's also not a shoot everything in sight kind of game either. And mostly importantly..there's more than one deer call :P.

@Kootra someone pointed out the online game "The Hunter" and from gameplay vids it looks like something way more authentic (i visited the store and saw the infamous bugle caller you mentioned, alongside some stuff for boars and other things....and some deer urine ^^), you can play it for free and only need to pay for additional stuff and more animals from what I've seen so far, so might give the free mode a shoot
