  • Oh man Sociology in the making.

  • Its all bullshit....they need an excuse to take your money to pay for the bishops cars and house...go to any bishops house nd i promise you he will have his bathroom made of gold

  • @56Thunderstruck only because they worked hard for it, went to school, start a business/have a good job. The church pays no one, not even for someone to be bishop. Its best to be informed instead of narrow minded and stating things that you know nothing about. I invite you to read the Book of Mormon. Visit mormon.org for a free copy! good day :)

  • @iammormon11 yeah right after i drink tea thats NOT gonna kill me and find a mormon church that allowed black people before the civil rights movement...or it just so happens that god tells youall that black people are allowed right after the civil rights movement o.O

  • he forgot the claim that mormons also believe that we can achieve godhood, to me this is an unbelieveable claim as God is eternal, he created us, he created the universe. umm it is the only religion to my knowledge that makes tithing compulsory...that is giving a certain amount of your income to the church. i pray that people who call themselves mormon will come to Jesus...the real Jesus, the son of god, and repent of thier sins

  • @sailtheseaofcheese tithing is a commandment of God and is all over scripture , even in the Bible. Go ahead read in the Old Testament Malachi 3:8-12

  • @iammormon11 i'm not denying the importance of tithing, i was just saying that it's compulsory to tithe if you want to be a member of the mormon church....in the church i go to, it's not compuslory (although im sure every member of the church who is fathful will give). The difference is that the mormon church very strictly enforces tithing, i've heard stories of people being lectured and told to repent if they havnt given any money to the church...this is what i've heard

  • @omiolo tell them what it is man. You are a true mormon

  • Wow. Whitewashing of Church History in action! I wonder when the 3-D revised edition comes out.

  • I know the feeling. Despite my love for the Book of Mormon, I used to think that the book of Ether was an unfortunate add-on, best skimmed over quickly. Sure, the story of the brother of Jared is a classic,

  • When Mormon residents were summoned to forsake San Bernardino and return to Salt Lake City in late 1857, with strict orders from Church president Brigham Young to sell their property for whatever they could get, a rowdy roughneck crowd of opportunists took advantage of the unbelievable cheap real-estate deals.

  • For Mormons, this query needs to be broken down into two separate questions: "Will heaven be populated only by people who lived their earthly lives as Mormons?" and "Will everyone in heaven ultimately have to accept LDS beliefs and ordinances?" Our responses are no and yes, respectively. In order to understand why we believe this, it is necessary to review two important principles. . .

  • And after the flood we are told that the curse that had been pronounced upon Cain was continued through Ham's wife, as he had married a wife of that seed. And why did it pass through the flood? Because it was necessary that the devil should have a representation upon the earth as well as God" (Journal of Discourses 22:304).

  • You need Jesus mormon

    CTR TRUST JESUS!

  • telling who you are? why do you all (Mormons)spread what you believe but when people try to tell you what I believe you don't want TO HEAR IT !!! all we get when us Christians try to spread what we believe to you we get attacked!!!

  • Mormons lie.

  • Efforts were repeated through the late 1930s, with limited success prior to World War II and Soviet occupation. The 1956 revolts resulted in a softer communism in Hungary, including a higher standard of living than neighboring nations, lessened travel restrictions and the like.

  • Jared Perry, 19, a Southridge High School graduate, is on a two-year mission in El Salvador and Belize for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He and other missionaries are only allowed to call home twice a year, on Christmas and Mother's Day.

That means for Perry, today is special in more ways than one.

  • Right now, thousands of young Mormons are on missions in the US and abroad, including about 250 from the Mid-Columbia.

  • bruce mckonkie is a liar and everyone who follows him are decieved and will pay the price on judgement day.

  • @speedskate2010 You do NOT like being told you must REPENT huh?

  • the world is full of silly superstitions like mormonism, christianity, islam, reincarnation, ghosts, black cats, prayer, voodoo, popes, creation myths, zeus, thor, gods causing thunder/lightening/earthquakes/etc. What rationale person would cling to these silly superstitions?

  • Speaking of his two grandsons who had just completed their missions in Taiwan, one in Taichung and the other in Taipei, President Uchtdorf said, "We are grateful for the privilege that the Lord has given our family to have a close connection to Taiwan. Now, these two young men will count you for the rest of their lives as part of their family."

  • STAFFORD, Va. — As the head of the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), Bruce A. Carlson won't say much about the federal agency he directs. The NRO builds and operates America's spy satellites, which are used extensively by federal agencies and war-fighters deployed in Afghanistan and Iraq.

  • Wheelwright also used his visit to share the characteristics that BYU–Hawaii looks for in its future students. First, they must have a testimony of the gospel and be living the gospel standards in order to be considered to attend BYU-Hawaii. Second, students need to have sufficient English knowledge and ability to succeed. And third, BYU–Hawaii looks for students who have demonstrated the capability of succeeding in the University’s academic programs.

  • LOL.. "church of jesus christ" if you really believe in jesus you will put the book of mormon in the garbage can where it belongs!!! mormon wont tell you that joseph smith killed 2 people. mormons have 3 levels of "heaven" mormonism keeps changing as time goes by! PAYLEI ALE PAYLEYALE is that how you say it OMIOLO? mormons cant even agree on the hill cumorah fairy tale! (there are 2 version) and i can keep going on and on about how stupid this cult is!

    MORMONS = MASTERS OF EXCUSES

  • @MALDITTOROKKERO ANTImormons = masters of LIES.

  • Presented by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints — the formal name for the Mormon Church — the pageant features 10 scenes from the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Of the pageant's more than 800 volunteers, about 700 are cast members, who arrived last week from all over the world to start rehearsing for the performance.

  • @omiolo save it for church. nobody cares.whenever you comment about your religion someone gets pissed so shutup

  • @billysmamacita you come to a Mormon video and get upset because there are Mormon comments? What world do you live in?

  • South Africa was very vibrant, but the energy here is far better," said Brown, who watched the pageant from the audience for the first time last year. "We left for something that's more exciting for us."

The outdoor pageant, known for its elaborate costumes, special effects and soundtrack, starts today.

  • He will be a God someday!

praise Joseph Smith and his brilliant ideas

  • Tom Lamb, chairman of the church's Southern Utah Public Affairs Committee, said he is glad to see Hafen return to Southern Utah. Lamb lauded Hafen's academic credentials and church service.

"He's certainly a brilliant man," Lamb said. "He's had a brilliant career academically and served faithfully for many years."

  • Hafen, originally from St. George, became a general authority of the LDS Church in 1996 when he was sustained to the First Quorum of the Seventy, one of the church's top governing bodies. He has also served as provost and professor of law at Brigham Young University and as president of the church's Ricks College, which is now BYU-Idaho.

  • The temple will have four floors and occupy approximately 36,000 square feet.

Parking will consist of 123 surface stalls and 130 underground stalls. Fencing will surround the temple grounds, which will include a water fountain and fruit trees.

  • Patterned after classic designs found at the Logan, Manti and Salt Lake temples, the Brigham City temple will have a limestone exterior and face east toward the tabernacle. The temple will have two spires. The angel Moroni will reach several feet higher than the highest point of the tabernacle.

  • Its rough walls and floor were plastered, something done nowhere else in the village. And it seems no longer to have served as a residence. While many lamps from the period have been found at the site, and while daily utensils have been found nearby, and while other houses around it plainly continued to be occupied,

  • essentially no domestic ceramics dating after the middle of the first century have been recovered from this particular spot.

  • hows the magic underpants working out for you

  • @martlut how is the BIGOTRY working out for you?

  • @omiolo i didn't invent the magic underpants

  • @martlut I guess that is your way of saying you enjoy your BIGOTRY.

  • @omiolo you don't have magic underpants and magic seeing stones

  • @martlut you seem like the kind of guy who would ask a Jew if he has horns.

  • On Sunday morning, Elder Hallstrom presided over a special conference of the Bangkok Thailand Stake, while Bishop Burton presided over a conference of the nearby Pakkret District. Combined attendance at the two meetings was more than 1,000.

  • The flooding has claimed almost 200 lives, including some 150 in Guatemala. Dozens of others were injured or were still missing at press time. Meanwhile, an estimated 129,000 people in the region had to be evacuated to safer locations

  • Two days after the volcanic eruption, Tropical Storm Agatha made landfall along the Guatemala-Mexico border. As it moved south, Agatha dumped more than a foot of rain and triggering deadly landslides in parts Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras.

  • As LDS researcher Ben McGuire has pointed out, when Nephi wrote about their journey, he intentionally "likened" their flight to the exodus pattern found in their scriptures. He knew his people would recognize the pattern and underscored the fact that this was a new foundational narrative for this particular branch of Israel (see "Nephi and Goliath: A Case Study of Literary Allusion in the Book of Mormon").

  • great video. I think it could not be said in more plain words than these by Elder McConkie

  • If the LDS Church would just tell the truth I would have no problem with them ... Just rename the BoM "Another Gospel of Another Jesus Christ who we think is cool but is in no way the Christ of the Bible" ... And if they would stop calling themselves "Christian" and just say that they are "Kolobite Wannabes" I would not have a problem ... but as long as the LDS claims to be the ONLY true church I will say what is in my heart.

  • @hammerogod if you would embrace the truth, then you would NOT be so confused about what the truth is!

  • @omiolo Who's confused? ... I reject J Smith, Mormonism and the LDS church with a clear and easy conscience ... I am not confused about any of those things ... I have no real issues with what you believe, that's your business, I only wish the LDS church would tell the truth about what it is and what it stands for and stop pretending to be a Mainstream Christian entity ... when that happens you will never hear from me again.

  • @hammerogod your ENTIRE comment is confusion on your part. LOTS of double talk!

  • LDS arrogance continues to stun me ... McConkie spews out statements with zero validity in a way that can only remind me of people like Joseph McCarthy .. His statement "These cries from shallow minds and these self-serving statements from those who resent our rapid growth .. etc" flies in the face of the fact that 100% of Christian Apologists, Biblical Scholars and Mainstream Christian Chuch Leaders agree that what Joseph Smith brought into the world is pure heresy.

  • The project has four primary missions: a concept known as square-foot gardening, sanitation/hygiene education, micro-financing/micro-enterprise and clean water. Volunteers will soon teach classes and hold seminars for interested residents.

  • After the first full day, we ran out of everything, especially casting supplies," said Craig Nelson, a former missionary to Haiti who rushed to the island nation with several doctor friends.

But 50 hygiene kits from a Florida shipment allowed the group to create makeshift bandages that got them through until more supplies could be found.

  • PROVO — Just days after Haiti's devastating earthquake, the washcloths, soap and toothbrushes in an LDS Humanitarian Center hygiene kit became much more than appreciated toiletries.

    They were mini miracles.

  • Kits draw praise at evening of service for BYU Women's Conference

  • The three Elders were born in a 27-month span. They ended up in the mission field at the same time because the oldest, Stewart, had to wait several months between putting in his missionary papers and entering the MTC while Andrew, the youngest of the trio, experienced a significantly shorter time between submitting paperwork and embarking upon his mission.

  • @omiolo The church is leading the members towards a marvelous disaster and a hertical blunder.

  • @GiftoAll

You must be talking about the EVANGELICAL churches. Google **pending collapse of evangelical churches**.

The Church of Jesus Christ is leading the way in defending truth and right.

  • McCullough talked of visiting Normandy with a Jewish couple, who placed pebbles on the grave of a Jewish soldier. "They said it was their way of staying in touch. That's what we all should be doing. History — whether you call it history or local history or family history — transcends time, transcends nationality, transcends geography. It reminds us that we are all part of the human family. We must stay in touch."

  • "I feel a great urgency for the daughters of God to do all they need to do to strengthen and lift — not just themselves, their families, sisters who are in their wards, but also the world," Sister Beck said. "I feel that the sisters in this church who know and understand their covenants will be a significant force in helping this world, which has seem to have lost its moral moorings."

  • Restoring the records of the past is one part of helping this island rebuild and look to the future, said Jay Verkler, CEO of FamilySearch.

  • Not only does the Church make such vital, historical information available to genealogy researchers, but it returns a copy of the filmed records to the record custodian. In 2004, for example, a cyclone struck the tiny South Pacific island of Niue, destroying all local birth, death and court records. FamilySearch had filmed the records sometime prior for the archivist of Niue. FamilySearch was able to provide a copy of the original records to the storm-ravaged island.

  • well stated, thank you.

  • "Life is so much like a garden — we harvest the consequences of the small choices we make every day," she said. "In reality, there is no act separate. It is indelibly connected to other acts, and when we rise in the resurrection we will be a product of our choices."

Sister Oaks spoke of the need for an increase of the spirit to avoid distractions of the world.

  • @omiolo look into my eyes, "obey, obey, obey".

  • @GiftoAll

sorry, I refuse to belong to the Shawn McCraney and Calvary Chapel cults!

  • @omiolo Christian cult = any religious movement, which claims the backing of Christ or the Bible, but distorts the central message of Christianity by: Additional revelation. Displaces a fundamental tenet of the faith with a secondary matter. Adds to the 66 books of the Bible. Subtracts the diety of God. Multiply works to salvation. Divides the loyalties of members from God to a different salvation. Claims to be Christian yet denies the cardinal Christian tenents

  • @GiftoAll

**Adds to the 66 books of the Bible.**

since VERY few of the major Christian sects have the same boy, I call your ASSERTIONS ---> NONSENSE! Get educated!

  • @omiolo Are you living on another planet? All members of all Christian churches could easily walk hand in hand with the gospel of Christ. Last time I checked you have accumulated a truck load of verse that blatantly contradicts the original.

  • @GiftoAll

**All members of all Christian churches could easily walk hand in hand**

and that is why so MANY of them are at war with each other? Are you really that blind, or is this STUPIDITY?

  • @omiolo Protestant, Catholic wars? Go join hands with the Catholics and see if they will accept your mystical stories about authority. I don't want to interrupt any more of the manworship, so I will wipe and leave.

  • @GiftoAll

way to dance around me proving your point WRONG. But you do that dance OFTEN!

  • @omiolo Are you paid for your bloggerreah?

  • "Remember, the Lord has promised that 'though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.' (Isaiah 1:18.)"

Rescuers have also been provided, and Bishop Burton advised, "If you have taken a short cut or deviated from the prescribed course of life, your wonderful bishop can help. Seek him out — he loves you."

  • How many artifacts or Book of Mormon cities have they found? Hundreds of similarities you say? What about the Bible? The Bible has 25,000 artifact discoveries. Most discovered by non Christian archeologists. There is Jacobs well, Pool of Bethesda, lazarus's tomb, bone box of Caiaphas and many more. It's laughable that you hold LDS doctrines in higher esteem than the Bible. I will ask again, who do you worship? Men? The church?

  • @GiftoAll

you know probably better than I do that the term **legalism** is what one EVANGELICAL church says to another when they call each other to repentance.

Don't you have a 30 year war to fight?

  • @omiolo What is this 30 year fight? Aren't you supposed to be walking back to Nauvoo?

  • About 800 volunteers including Hmong and Samoan groups will donate more than 2,000 man-hours at the City of Sacramentos William Land Park, which has seen its finding cut by 60 percent in recent years and its maintenance staff trimmed from 22 to seven employees

  • There is no way with our current low staffing levels we have now or expect to have in the future that we could remove the invasive and very tall-growing, non-native weeds, said Marilee Flannery, Park Interpretive Supervisor of Effie Yeaw Nature Center. This and the other projects would never get done without the helping hands of these volunteers.

  • She said that the size of Southern Virginia University reminded her of her time as a student at Dixie College in St. George, Utah. She broke away from her shy high school days and learned to play tennis, sang solos in a choir, was elected and served as a student body officer and was a gospel doctrine teacher in her ward. She said it was during her college experience that she began to gain confidence in her abilities.

  • "Each of you has a mission that the Lord has sent you to the earth to fulfill," Sister Beck told students at the devotional. "And if you are sensitive to the Spirit and watchful of the direction He has given you, you won't go wrong."

  • The lecture is free, dress is casual and everyone is invited. A handicap entrance is located at the rear of the Tabernacle.

Prince will address President David O. McKay's world view of the "Gospel of Inclusiveness," which gains new relevance in light of the Church's recent announcement that it has a fourth mission: taking care of the poor and needy throughout the world...

  • When Karl Lagerfeld shows a model some Big Love, you can bet the fashion world sits up and takes notice. Right now, The Kaisers sunglass-shielded stare — and his lens — is fixated on a 22-year-old Mormon from Salt Lake City, Utah, featuring her in three consecutive campaigns for Chanel.

  • McConkie said it all in his opening statements.

    The church is a mystery.

  • @GiftoAll

    Alma 12:9

**And now Alma began to expound these things unto him, saying: It is given unto many to know the mysteries of God; nevertheless they are laid under a strict command that they shall not impart only according to the portion of his word which he doth grant unto the children of men, according to the heed and diligence which they give unto him. **

  • @omiolo that is alot of legalistic wording. The idea of unspoken things came from the Bible.

  • @GiftoAll

    **legalistic**

what does that even mean? Usually EVANGELICALS use that to mean they are NOT responsible for what the Bible says!

  • @omiolo You can find many of the legalisms in the D&C, "it reads as if were written by an attorney". It's a mystery why Joseph didn't command you to kneel down and pray on a rug. So, OBEY, OBEY and forever be perfect, because the lds premortal brother of Satan didn't pay for all sin in the Garden of Gathsemane.

  • In other words, Sister Thompson added, the purpose of Relief Society is to help sisters become holy women. "The Prophet Joseph Smith taught the sisters in much the same way as he taught the priesthood brethren in the School of the Prophets. He attended six or more of those early Relief Society meetings. He instructed sisters on how they should expound and exhort and search the scriptures.... He taught them how they should teach their families.

  • Elder Juan A. Uceda, 56, had been serving as counselor to the president of the Caldwell New Jersey Stake when called to serve in the First Quorum of the Seventy.

  • Patrick Kearon was born in Carlisle, Cumberland, England on 18 July 1961. He married Jennifer Carole Hulme in 1991. They are the parents of four children, one of whom is deceased. The Kearon family lives in Somerset, England.

  • Thus, on Sunday, 3 April 1836, apparently the time had fully come to open the dispensation of the fulness of times on a special anniversary of the fulness of time of the Resurrection.

  • At his return, Elijah stated that "the time has fully come" for Malachi's prophecy to be fulfilled (D&C 110:14), suggesting that the prophecy of Elijah's return was to be fulfilled at a specified time. Perhaps he also implied that the time had fully come to begin the fulness of times.

  • Let's begin with a combination of past and present: the recent anniversary of the Relief Society. Enjoy this beautiful video on LDS*org compilation honoring the "Relief Society: An Enduring Legacy" with words of wisdom from President Eyring and members of the Relief Society General Presidency

  • Prior to the earthquake, Adrian Hernandez had planned a service project with the youth in his ward. In the end, the service project was building a house for his family. Like many others, his adobe house had been damaged beyond repair. The young men and their priesthood leaders helped Brother Hernandez build a modest new home near the old one.

  • Now they have their rhetorical walls broken down so that they can also have this help as well. I have learned more than anything that if you are prepared you shall not fear. I have seen that a people full of fear will do almost anything to survive. If we prepare spiritually by living the Gospel and by keeping a year's supply of food storage we shall not fear. Ever. I have a feeling that this is just the beginning. We must prepare.

  • @omiolo This McKonkie guy says in the form of an accusation against the LDS the very truths of what LDS is. Then he says he wants to be able to tell us what the truth is. But he just did when he said others were accusing the LDS of being polytheistic, etc...

  • even your ANTImormon collaborators are having a hard time deciphering your comments and videos!

    Obviously I can NOT!

  • @IExposeMormonism "This McKonkie guy?"?? Seriously? If you were a true anti-mormon, or if you knew anything about the Church, you wouldn't need to say that, as if you've never heard of him before. That's like a sportscaster saying "That Jordan guy" when referring to Michael Jordan. He'd lose his audience quicker than Kramer using racial slurs in his standup.

  • @MrTjosephc And with my name and all I guess I've had it...Especially with omi' here to keep things right. Maybe, just maybe, my comment has some substance and McKonkie's is mythogogic obfuscation. I say that because Mormonism as Polytheistic and Polygamous, false prophet, patriarchal despotism, etc are all true. The cry from shallow minds are the proclamations by Mormons of the truths of Mormonism: everything he says is an accusation against M'ism is a testimony of truth and provably so.

  • Many people have found themselves asking , "Where is my strength?" I've lost my house, my work also doesn't exist, I have no computer, no TV. Where am I?" they ask. More precisely they ask. "Who am I?" Seeing this, I am grateful to know that I, nor have they, been left alone in this very traumatic experience. I have had the Lord's help every step of the way.

  • Hipocrites, Show me Zarahemla!

  • Would showing you Zarahemla convert you to the gospel of Jesus Christ?

  • @TheEyesOfSam

Sign seekers will never believe or be convinced of any "evidence".

They rejected ancient prophets, angels, Jesus Christ when He was on the Earth and they continue to reject the truth demanding evidence.

Have the missionaries over to teach you the Gospel before you are taught it in the Spirit World.

  • After 50 years, these missionaries still look forward to gathering every six months (They will meet again on April 2 at 3 p.m. at the home of Elvin and Liz Tanner, 323 N. Main in Pleasant Grove).

While they realize the longevity of their group is unusual, they can't imagine discontinuing the reunions. They look forward to their association and opportunities for building the kingdom for many more years.

  • Landon was reading in Alma 15:17 today. He said, Mom listen to this. This is what is happening here in Chile just like in happened in Ammonihah. The people were humbled and "checked as to the pride of their hearts and began to humble themselves before God, watching and praying continually that they might be delivered from Satan, and from death, and from destruction."

  • In his address about teaching, President Eyring said students cannot be fortified with "a sure foundation to stand steady through the temptations and trials of their lives" unless they have a witness of the truths of the gospel through the Holy Ghost.

  • However, he feared that some of the liturgy would need to be omitted since it called for a choir singing in Latin. But he was soon surprised to discover that the director of the St. George Tabernacle's choir had ordered the appropriate music and was preparing his group to perform it, in Latin, in two weeks. Accordingly, on May 18,1873 a Catholic high Mass was sung by a Mormon choir in the St. George Tabernacle.

  • Second, the reader gets the false impression that all is well in Zion, that the outside world is being forced to the LDS point of view, and that the only role LDS scholars need play in Book of Mormon-related studies is to use scissors and paste effectively.

Third, the underlying complexity and subtlety of the Book of Mormon are masked by a pseudo-scholarship to which everything is simple.

  • First, they train the reader that serious, critical thought is unnecessary and maybe even undesirable, that any source of information will serve no matter how unreliable, and that logical absurdity is as good as sound analysis.

  • The Chilean government has recognized Utah native Thomas E. Lyons with the highest honor the country gives to a foreigner.

Lyons was honored with the Bernardo O'Higgins award by Mariano Fernandez, Chile's secretary of state, on Feb. 8. Lyons currently serves as the president of the LDS temple in Santiago. Lyons was given the honorary rank of "Comendador," which translates as "Knight commander." The award was given in recognition of Lyons' eight years of church service in Chile.

  • Art has a spirit, a unique way of speaking to the soul that enriches our lives.

"There are many, many art forms," says Angela Ames, church history educator at the Church History Museum. "They all can bring the spirit into our lives."

But if you want art to do that, it helps to understand the background, the process, the artist's intent and purpose, she said.

  • Speaking to the soul: LDS Church History Museum's interactive exhibit communicates 'Spirit of Art'

  • One major difference, however, is the LDS Church matching a revitalized temple with a redeveloping downtown Ogden. "You combine that with what was going on

  • Either you've only been to CHURCH, and not to TEMPLE. Or your a recruiter for Satan. Chech on the History of your Magic Mormon Underwear, all those magic symbols that USED to be on the Temple Garments had Freemasonic Square & Compass, along with other Pagan Symbols. And what about the inverted pentagram adove the entrance to all mormon TEMPLES, That symbol is used by Masons (Eastern star) and by Satanists (Goat of Mendes)! I guess you haven't paid your tithe or you'd know this!

    Research it!

  • @LONGPORKBUFFET

you stick to your LIES, DISTORTION, and ASSERTIONS and I will stick to the truth.

Thus we will BOTH stick to what we know best!

BTW, have fun at the KKK rally tonight!

  • Hah! you say for me to "have fun at the KKK rally tonight!" ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Anyone whose done any research knows that Albert Pike, most celebrated mason, started the KKK. What degree mason was Pike 33rd. Just like your Founders Joseph Smith and Brigham Young, both 33rd degree Freemasons! Think there there might be a connection to that and the statements by the founders about black people having the mark of cain, and were all damned! Smith said any mormon who married a black must be killed!!!

  • KKK have ALWAYS attacked the Mormons as have ALL bigots!

    /nice deflection though!

  • I don't think Joseph Smith said that any mormon who married a black must be killed.. It was Brigham Young - "Shall I tell you the law of God in regard to the African race? If the white man who belongs to the chosen seed mixes his blood with the seed of Cain, the penalty, under the law of God, is death on the spot. This will always be so." (Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, Volume 10, page 110.)

  • An annual tally of church membership in the US found gains by the Roman Catholic Church, the Mormon church and the Assemblies of God last year, ..

  • Likewise, at the other end of the ideological spectrum is Utah's Deseret News, operated by the Church of Jesus Christ and the Latter Day Saints. Mormon-owned, the Deseret News is, like the Monitor a secular newspaper but its moral tone is much more clearly a result of religious instruction. It could hardly be otherwise: Utah is a Mormon state and the Mormons of Utah would be in a right state if their daily newspaper was an unholy affair

  • Cleon Skousen: Did you know that when Cleon Skousen died, he gave four unpublished manuscripts to his sons and charged them to "find a publisher who would do justice" to them? Well, just this weekend it was announced that the first previously unpublished Cleon Skousen book will be coming out before general conference. Interesting!

  • So with this heart-rending problem, one would think the Haitian government would expedite the adoption process, and get these children into homes where they could be cared for. Not so. The adoption process in Haiti is gummed up with red tape, hurdles to cross, and frustrating delays.

  • Our LDS team has seen a truck bed full of babies, too dazed to whimper, too hungry to cry anymore expecting that someone will care for them. Two boys, newly orphaned by the quake, come into the military camp where we live, hoping to tell a joke or sing a song to find a meal.

  • Some background:

Haiti teems with orphans, brown-eyed children, who scramble for survival. Orphans are Haitis most flourishing crop. Even before the earthquake, of Haitis 8.3 million population, it is estimated that 380,000 of them were orphans. Now, no one can be sure of the number, as these children roam the streets and crouch untended in hidden corners, but guesses are that number may have doubled.

  • What the LDS team could not have anticipated was that rescuing these children and saving their shattered lives would become a harrowing, dramatic race against time, where every minute counted and events had to come together in a perfect orchestration.

  • When a team of 125 Latter-day Saint volunteers flew to Haiti last Thursday, they intended to send back the empty plane to the United States full of orphans ready for adoption. These were not the children newly orphaned by the earthquake, but orphans whose hopeful, adoptive parents had been working three to four tedious years to try to bring them out of the broken country where orphans languish and die for lack of nutrition and care.

  • John 14:6 6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

The mormon founder Joseph Smith was a Freemason . They base their whole faith on this freemason .Now that the internet can help so many to open their eyes from this occult. All they have to is research for themselves. Religion or church can't save them it's only by the Blood of Jesus Christ.

  • you are a BIGOT!

  • you are SMALLOT! Have fun in your fairyland where Jesus and Lucifer are BROTHERS! Did you know that Joseph Smith & Brigham Young were both 33 degree freemasons. 90+% of Freemasons Don't know their in a Satanic religion, just like the 90+% of Mormons only go to CHURCH! Where as only a small % go to TEMPLE, which you are chosen by the ELDERS (Akin to the 33 degree mason) Where they perform Satanic rituals. Mormon Temple ceremonies, Freemasons rituals and Wiccan rituals are basically the same!

  • NOT only is your comment WRONG on most levels it is actually SPITEFUL and shows a desperation for Mormons to be wrong.

I am guessing you must be divorced, and it is EVERYONE else's fault but your own....

  • Elder Robert D. Hales of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.

  • It is important to understand that self-reliance is a means to an end. Our ultimate goal is to become like the Savior, and that goal is enhanced by our unselfish service to others. Our ability to serve is increased or diminished by the level of our self-reliance

  • I say, the testimony that we recapture day by day is the thing that saves us from the pitfalls of the adversary.6 We need to stay close to the Lord every day if we are to survive the adversity that we all must face.

  • One of the great, enduring lessons of the Kirtland period is that our spirits need constant nourishment. As President Harold B. Lee (18991973) taught: Testimony isnt something that you have today and you keep always. Testimony is either going to grow and grow to the brightness of certainty, or it is going to diminish to nothingness, depending upon what we do about it.

  • The Lessons

What can we learn from this remarkable era in the history of the Church?

  • Belonging. People need to have a sense of belonging; that they have been reached out to in friendship.

My mission, said Senator Bennett, was the formative experience of my life. I still draw upon the experience. If you will learn to love the people, you will be sustained in ways you can not now comprehend.

  • Confirming. People want to continue on with the gospel when they have a confirming experience that what they are hearing is true. Missionaries must learn to bear a testimony so the Spirit can confirm the truth.

  • When you squish into clothes tighter than someone your age should ever wear in public you think of the degree you never finished, the business venture that failed, thoughtless words you uttered, failed relationships, unvisited islands, wayward children, deprived childhoods, pesticide toxins, global warming, etc. etc!

  • As you swim mind-numbing laps you think about all the wasted brain space occupied with memorized sitcom dialogs. As your rickety knees pound the pavement you think of landfills full of the empty Hostess boxes you've contributed.

  • Through blurry vision I looked at the ages marked on the calves of those ahead of me and those who passed me, which were many, and the revelation occurred: The age of accountability is not 8 years old. The age of accountability is 37, or 40, or 52, or whatever age it is that makes you have enough regret about life that makes you think that doing a triathlon will make it all better somehow.

  • Halfway to the buoy I was praying for a giant catfish to come and swallow me whole. I somehow managed my way around the lake, breezed through the bike (it's my favorite), but about a mile into the run I hit the wall. In moments of great pain I become the most philosophical. Why am I doing this? Why are any of us doing this? What is it we are trying to prove?

  • @omiolo I Like IT!! This is good reading.

  • see, you do NOT have to be NEGATIVE and WRONG all the time!

  • I remember Bruce R. McConkie.

Why does he claim that it is "outsiders" that claim Lds people believed in worshipping Adam, as God? That is just an obfuscation of what Bruce knew to be true: that Brigham Young promoted the doctrine: and, that mormons of Brig's day truly believed that; and, that Brig was not "speaking as a man", at the time.

McConkie said in a letter to Eugene England, once, that England ought to be excommunicated if he accepted the Adam-God Doctrine of Brother Brigham.

  • Congressman Jeff Flake

Though Congressman Flake is in a high pressure job, he has still had the opportunity in the last few weeks to sit in on a few missionary discussions, and though he spends the week in Washington DC, he flies home to Arizona every weekend to be with his family and go to church. This means he has to work hard to get his home teaching done.

  • @omiolo How about some more Catfish hitting the wall and philosophical introspection

  • I'll stick with home teaching....

BTW,did you get that twitch fixed??

  • @omiolo ....No, man, you're still here, still the same... By the way, When are you and TCLDS going to convert?

  • I think this INTERNET thing has now given you new life, maybe even a purpose....

  • The tour groups, bused into Nazareth for lightning visits on their way to somewhere else, see the Basilica of the Annunciation, on the site where Christian tradition says an angel told Mary she would bear the child of God.

  • NAZARETH, Israel — When Pope Benedict XVI paid a visit earlier this year to the town where Jesus grew up, he brought brief attention to a Holy Land destination that is at once world famous and unjustly overlooked.

  • "I remember that I was very eager to read everything the elders gave me," Florin said. "My mother participated in only one discussion. But I'm grateful that she opened the door for them. I read the Book of Mormon in less than a week, and had many questions for the missionaries each discussion.

  • @omiolo did he ask what a curloom is, where is Zarahemla, what is reformed Egyptian? The computer itself changed my life. I said I would never get one and when I did I discovered you and the entire subject at hand.. And Freemasonry. And more. And we met

  • these issues have been dealt with ad nausea. But it is NOT like your types care. You so desperately want things to be untrue that NOTHING else matters to you....

  • I tried to block out the trial run fiasco as I pulled on my rubber suffocation suit and stared out at the official buoy that seemed eons away. I joined the rest of my heat in the water and when the horn blew I dove in hoping the dead body in the water wouldn't be mine.
