  • This movie is so fascinating because of its use of contiguity editing: when the dog gets out of the right side of the frame, it comes in the left side of the next shot. This is an important aspect of continuity editing. George Meliés already used it in a far more rudimentary form in his Voyage dans la lune (1902).
