  • Klyukina really had a wonderful line on bars!

  • I love the British commentators, they always find something positive to say even if the routine doesn't go to plan. Eflie and the 2 other American men who commentate aren't as positive and only seem interested in the 'power house' countries.

  • @gymukc it´s true, and i love that...but with the americans i can learn and understand the deductions... :)

  • does anyone know what the a score was for chusovitina?

  • @violaroadkill : yes, Chusovitina's score on vault was 14.875!

  • It doesn't seem that way to me at all. These commentators keep making stupid mistakes.

  • And less biased and more positive and less bitchy... Shall I go on? LOL

  • wow! 32 years old!!! holy crap! and i thought alicia sacramone was old. haha

  • when did the french gymnast get hurt? i forget her name, maybe isabelle sorvino? or something, what competition was it? team final, AA or event finals?

  • it was Isabelle Severino, she got injured on prelims, at the warm-up

    poor Isa :(

  • isabelle severino, she got injured during warm up on floor, which is lucky cos it meant she was replaced and it didn't cost france the bronze medal!

  • no grips! ksenia semenova! bravo!

  • the russians never use grips

  • yeah! they're really great gymnast! the best ever!

  • The best ever???? maybe at one point, but no longer!!!

  • Though I'm rooting for USA, the Russian team is my sentimental favorite. Any chance they could get silver?

  • Unless a disaster of Kramarenko-esque proportions befalls China or the US, I think it would be really hard for Russia to crack the top 2 spots in the Team Final. Certainly they could bring home the bronze. In a way there will be two team competitions to watch at the Olympics this summer - China vs. the US for the gold and then Russia vs. Romania for the bronze.

  • Yeah, I am totally rooting for the US, I always love Russia, and China and Romania are always good, but wouldn't it be nice if someone else got up there for a change. What excitement there would be if like Brazil or Italy could pull off a bronze. It would be hard, but you never know!!

  • i love the romanians too,but i think usa take the gold, and the silver will take china..or russia!but romania didnt have a chance:(

catalina doesnt compete in the 2008 olympics right?

  • yes, us will take the gold cuz they will be helped by judges.should i remember that on previous olimpic game, us gymnast got gold medal in despite of he made several mistakes.

  • looks like they proved you wrong didn't they? the judges certainly didnt' help the americans, and they didn't win.

  • i love your comment!! they shouldnt win with all that ugly gymnast, no artistry no stylish, just fat asses making a lot of terrible tumbling

  • Where was this held???

  • france

  • I hear Harmes' old 02-03 FX music in the background during Semenova's routine! I always loved that routine.

  • yes it is new skill for nastia's routine but that skill is called "nistor"

  • she didn't actually submit the skill at worlds, so the skill is still unnamed.

  • not diggin some of the angles chosen by the tv crew!

  • I thought that when I saw semyonova do a jaegar I thought she might take out the shoddy delchev but alas, I was wrong. Look out nastia......

  • was dugain's front aerial to arabescue what Nastia's new skill suppose to be?

  • no! Nastias is in the piked position. I can imagine it would look awesome

  • thank you for uploading!

  • Wow Ksenia looks so great...can't believe she can do all that without grips though! unreal!

  • Thank you for uploading this! I have to say I love the english commentators, they always have something nice to say about any gymnast and I find that lovely.

  • The commentator (Christine Still) is Director of coaching for Womens Artistic Gymnastics for Scotland. I think we can therefore assume she knows what she's talking about. If you compare this routine with Semenova's winning routine in the EFs you will see that here she casts to horizontal, whereas in the EFs she did a full cast to handstand. Perhaps the commentator recognised the mistake and assumed it was an extra swing, whereas actually it was just a poorly performed, but intended, move?

  • Does anyone know why Yulia Lozhechko and Kristina Pravdina didn't make the Russian team?

  • Lozhechko has the flu and pulled out before they left. I think Pravdina was suppose to go to the pacific rim but didn't so i don't know about her.

  • Thx !!!

  • Haha, they do use a different sort of language for stuff, such as "double straight", but whatev

  • Semenova looks taller than she was last year...

  • her official stats in her europeans application stated that she's 1m40 and 34kgs !! lol

Sandra Izbasa is 1m64, same height as khorkina but nobody comments on how tall she looks (i guess since she's more muscular, hence she doesn't look as long. Love her though!)

  • Thanks a million. I had no chance of seeing this on TV.

  • Thank you so much for posting it (and so fast)!
