I'm so sorry. I had a Bay Paint Filly that slipped on the ice in december 2007 and on January 6, 2008 in the morning my baby girl pasted away at 9 months old. I didn't even get to say goodbye. My old vet said it was just a sprain. then when she died he said she probably got a blood clot that went straight to her heart. I will never forget her she changed my life. I'm sorry for your lose. Rest in peace Dixie.

thanks. i also have a white morab, and she has melanoma also. we also can't do anything about it. but what my vet told me is the tumors in her cheaks and tail bone aren't the dangerous ones. its the ones that are inside on her major organs that could kill her but theres no way of knowing if there even there. don't worry. skin cancer is common in white arabians for some odd reason. but they usually end up passing of old age.

aw I am so sorry for your loss. It reminds me of the time I lost I grand prixs horse he had leg problems and in 2002 we went to CA and showed him in the class after that he coliced and we had to put him to sleep. He was 17 and carried me to the olympics.

it was just a wired fence. like this barn we took her to wasn't near as fancy as the one we had her at. but she was getting old and most of the horses there are old so they haven't updated it for a while. but its not like the fence matters, it was the landing that killed her. =[

I would of owned her for 3 years in november. i have been riding her for 4 years though. She was really special to me though no doubt. =( but at least she isn't in pain anymore which is the most inporatant thing right now.
