  • Its easier to notice the surreal feeling brought by fluctuating perspective when it's not placed next to the unprocessed, shaking video. Your filter does a very good job, but I wonder if a partial compensation would ultimately look better.

  • @dzmcm What do you mean by "partial compensation"?

  • @yzarc314 I mean remove the camera shaking partially rather than as much as possible. In other words, reduce the shaking, but don't eliminate it altogether. Since the camera is changing angles sporadicly the end result looks almost like your watching a projector on a screen that's being blown around.

    I'm no programmer though. I just use avisynth and MVtools with bits of script I've gotten on various forums.

  • @dzmcm Your description of a projector screen blowing around is quite eloquent. I agree that in this case, leaving a slight amount of shake would look more realistic. I don't believe Gunnar Thalin has released the Deshaker source code. Fortunately Deshaker is still under active development, so you might be able to convince him to add this option.
