Does this actually work? I mean everytime I see it, the water dropped is so small compared to the wildfire raging, I just have to ask myself what is it actually doing?
@muta157 Yes it does and it's rather effective. You have to remember that there are thousands of different things going on at any given time during a fire. With that said, they could be "pre-treating" the ground in a division, hitting a spot that hand crews are working on etc etc. I know it seems as though a few thousand gallons of water or retardant won't do much, but I assure you not only are the drops effective, but coming from a crews aspect, they are welcoming sight.
