Since the depletion of wolf habitat the ungulate populations for the most part have exploded and are too numerous for their own good. Disease and starvation can easily run rampant. Hunting is a great thing to do with the kids, good exercise,exciting, interesting and is a valuable skill to learn and practice. Sport hunting I dont like, if you kill it, eat it. It's a matter of conservation. No one can just go out and kill bears willy nilly. They must have hunting tags and can only take so many. It's not like the bears are in any danger of extinction. So, to answer your question YES, there are plenty of bears around to hunt and by doing so the rest of the bear population flourishes as a result of thinning the herds.

The bear was made into sausage and pepperoni. It was pretty good and the kids eat it too. We split the meat between a few friends.
To all the haters... hunting for bear/deer/moose/etc is just eliminating the grocery store from the equation for those of us looking to eat meat.
As for Tyzooo, Id be glad to give you my address as long as your prepared to become a permanent fixture, shoulder mounted in my shop.
