The general consensus is that this kind of isolation (no experience with humans, language, society, caregivers, etc.) leads to some degree of mental retardation.
Jean Pierre - Rey Cargol - Baliardo is the name of the actor playing the L'enfant Sauvage (the child)...he's a very talented singer from the Baliardo Gipsy Lineage from La Camargue, South of France, great flamenco guitarrist and an excellent singer....he's with the Chico & the Gipsies...:)

The kid could look like the character in the movie The Miracle Worker. In the film The Miracle Worker, the girl was deaf and dumb here the guy is a savage!
I really liked this video. I didn't know this french Tarzan but I like him better than the english. And I love Tarzan. But his french garçon sauvage is even more intense in his feelings (and he is all feelings). Very well. Très bien.
