On a recent long-distance tow (in PA), I saw an N-Series DIESEL, just rotting away in a back yard of a farm. (You can tell the diesels from gas engined trucks because they have a high-rise air cleaner on the passenger side and they have the letters spelling D.I.E.S.E.L. on top of the grille.) It had a dump body on it and I'm pretty sure it was a single-axle. Wish I had the facility and extra cash lying around to attempt it. I'd have approached the house to make an offer on it.
I'm always critical of what I think a restorer could have done better or differently. In this case, though............just bring it to eastern PA and call me when you get here, so we can go for a ride! That thing is GORGEOUS, bud. Thanks for restoring and sharing it with us. Looks like a true labor of love!
my dad had a n-700 he hauled logs with.. it had a 534 gas engine. it was a great truck.. thanks for the vid.. your truck is really nice.. great job.. these trucks are getting rare and they are really hard to find.
I love this truck!! Never seen one like it on the road up here. Keep On Truckin!!

I wish you success in getting it. It hurts to see them rust away to nothing

The N series was produced from 1961 to 1969, and then was replaced by the Louisville LN series.

It was produced from 1963 to 1969, 63 was the first year for it.
