The work that became the origin of this tune is classics work "Sonezaki-Shinjyu"(The Love Suicide at Sonezaki) of Joruri(Puppet show-Sewajoruri). As for author Monzaemon Chikamatsu,it took an active part in the Middle Ages, and the Love Suicide story obtained a lot of popularity by his work in Japan.
